  • I know what makes the "good" band so awesome.... the lead singer's ginger sawgg!

  • I love how people pronouncing the word "Harajuku" so strangely -w-

  • I haven't watched this video in a while! Anyway I'm Stephanie the girl singing & talking about Harajuku! The comments on this video are hilarious! I guess people don't understand my sarcasm! LOL! Please folks don't take me seriously! Anyway my old YT account is gone! Check out my new YT account! Just press my user name! I know you want too! ;p o_o

  • her teeth are so nice

  • awsome that last band u said was good WAS GOOD omg i hope they get signed so i can listen to them lol

  • LOL the entire last minute is PERFECT

  • Ugh, that Stephenie chick. I really can't stand her OR her voice >.<

  • Whats the name of the song NaughtyJohn play...? I LOVE it o.O

  • I actually liked that bad band Zephyr...

  • at first i was like that stephanie chick is kinda hot then he goes in for a close up and i was terribly terribly wrong -.-

  • "having all this guys taking fucking telescopic lense photos of teenage girls" lol I think that sums up how you feel well enough.

  • oh and i saw those dancers on 6:20 again, they're still dancing there!!

  • I just been to Japan again 3 month ago, and paid visit to Yoyogi park. i picked a Sunday specially, but nothing was on!! not a single band!~ why!!~~~

  • Aha That face at the end of the video, very funny :P

  • WOW YOU CAN HEAR THE BASS IN JAPANESE ROCK!!!

  • Idk, Ive personally met Stephanie at the Cherry Blossoms festival in Little Tokyo and forme she does sing really well, just needs to probably go on more performance wise than karaoke singer, yknow? But shes definitely sweet and talked with her, and did record her doing Utada Hikaru's English rendition on Hikari, Simple and Clean on my channel.

  • auugh i HATE stephanie, and weeaboos like her such as minxi or whatever. god they suck so much...

  • @nekompire i just saw her and i agree with you, dude. she can't even sing.

  • I saw that band!! "The Good" ones . . they're called naughty johnathan or something

  • FAARRREEEAAAKKYYY!!!!

  • I would watch the anime that the second song is on as an opening.

  • Rockabilly...in Japan....that makes perfect sense in this day and age.

  • I was in that exact corner you were on in the beginning of the video but it wasn't nearly as crowded because it was Wednesday. I did have my stalker lens on my camera though so I was able to get some pictures of the random cute girl on her phone sitting down and some dudes smoking by the phone. (Message me if you want them =])

  • I love rockabillies. Simply that. And this video.

  • omg 8:32 PMSL MOMENT HAHAHAHAHA

  • Oh my god, that girl was horrible.

  • Boys.. LETS JUST GO OUT AND DANCE TONIGHT!

  • I would love for someone to punch that girl in the face. Dont get me wrong, shes probably great in person but over the internet, she is very annoying. lol

  • lol u should make more vids where u dance XD

so halarious hehe keep it up <.<

  • epic face at 8:34

  • i dont like her teeth..

  • ah kevin... if i see you when i'm in tokyo, can i take a picture of you!?

  • looks interesting.

  • u got to understand. there is no such thing as normality.. what is normal?? and there is nothing wrong with checking out teenage girls and there beauty there...its a fascinating culture there...

  • if you hate harajuku and the style why the hell are you there -_-???

  • nya~~~

    nice ending

  • man..if u dont like harajuku then dont go there...

  • when is the best time to go on a sunday?

tmr is sunday and i kinda wanted to go check it out?

  • I'm still undecided on Harajuku. Before I visited I imagined there was going to be a 'vibe' there and i must say I never felt it. It was an interesting experience though. As an Australian girl if i saw Aussie girls dressing up like that sitting on a bridge or in a park I would be calling them all kind of names. Do Japanese girls feel the same way about the girls in Harajuku?

  • not really. It's quite the opposite. everyone belongs in their own place in the japanese society, and no one is criticized or judged for what they do or who they are.

  • "Ok... Maybe Harajuku doesn't suck... completely."

I'm interested to know what changed your mind since I saw you bashing it 90% of this video. o.o Was it the one out of the dozen bands that didn't sound horrible? Was it the cosplayers in erotic outfits? Was it watching Stephanie perform? Wait don't tell me... I know. It was the crossdressing guy you took a picture with in the end right? XD In any case its good that you don't completely hate it. I'd definitely like to visit if I have the chance.

  • I don't get those girls are erotic. they are just kawaii. they are just peacefully expressing themseives in fashon they like and notheing go any further. actually, harajuku is in one of the safest city in the world.

  • that band is awsome

  • i don't get how their outfits are erotic. the first thing i thought of when you said that was those slutty abercrombie-ridden 10 year olds in skirts 7 inches above they're knees.

  • ALL bands...regardless of country...had to start somewhere and sucked in the beginning...the difference is...things fell into place for some that went on to become famous...member changes...musical direction changes...etc...

  • whats the bands name at 3:44, i like it :D

  • My mistake, *it can't*

  • Come on, it can be THAT bad...seriously 8'')

    lol 8D

  • lol...

  • Anyone know what the name of the band at 3:50?

  • is that a guy dressed as a goth loli?

  • LOL! That seems like the question on everyone's mind.

I'm pretty sure he's a guy because the one on the left (in white) also looks like a guy.

Otherwise, if they are girls I guess any attention from guys is better then none when you look like that.

  • zephyr actually sounds good, at least they sound jrock.

why the day i was in harujuku wasn't fun like this? was it sunday?

  • @straynovel i thought it sounded pretty good too. ;/ it makes me feel all warm to see new bands that aren't famous playing, for some reason.

  • nice one Touch Down, you score 6 points

  • lol at your last expression

  • good work kevin, you tried so hard.

thanks for all these vids btw, they're immense.

  • Don't trust Billboard and MTV, just listen what you like. Of course, you have the right to dislike Jpop, neither do I like it but basing musical taste in what MTV has to say, well, there is a problem there.

  • My whole problem is jpop is not new or inventive, they just copy what we do and then suck worse at it.

  • HAHAHA, thank god that's not true.. :')

  • The Japanese do not "suck" at music... You've only been exposed to the J Rock/J Pop genre from Japan.. ... Look up Nobuo Uematsu and Joe Hisaishi among others. And for what its worth, how much foreign music is played in the United States anyway? In fact, pretty much every source you've listed focuses on mainstream music.. I guess by your logic, classical and orchestral music must be some of the worst shit ever! (._.)

  • I liked the band that had the red guitar :D

  • Hahaha! It's that girl !

OMG, me ad my sister HATE her. She creeps us out

    That's mean... but, yah .

  • Wow, she actually hurt my ears. I much prefer Himeka.

  • Hey it's Stephanie! I've met her a few times too, she's performed here at the Fresno ani-jam events here in California. shes a pretty cool chick and really cute!

  • LOL your face at the end was HILARIOUS!

  • Wow, they are pretty good, what was the name of that band?

  • man...i'm a hardcore J-rock fan..!!!

  • wait so harajuku is sorta like cosplaying anime crap? I like anime... buuuut the idea of old men taking picture of young teen girls doesn't sit well with me... ew

  • Wow i love that song that they were playing. I wish i could download it !

  • When the bands are playing are they made up songs or covers?

Can anyone tell me the names if they are real

  • 8:33 :D god... man you made me laugh... I do understand how you feel about the Harajuku...

  • Nothing wrong with teenage girls in erotic outfits. Can any one second me on this?

  • I second that motion.... but then again im a horrible human being

  • Yes I too am a deplorable individual.

  • i 3rd that but...how old am i ^_^

  • lol i like how u assume wer all creepy old guys, almost insaulting concidering im not evin old enough to drink in the states... thank god i live in canada on that last point... but back on topic, i wish i lived in Japan, huray for erotic outfits! yay!

  • Lolz, you can tell i watch a some of anime ---> (nejikiller900100) so im not some old man wanking to teen in skimpy outfits XD

  • @capitalsho sick fag

  • Harajuku hates you too!!

  • That japanese girl was nice ^_^

  • omg that man is scarier than words can ever tell

  • Haha what a crazy place. What's not to like about it? =)

  • Stephanie is so cute she should work at the maid cafe =)

  • Hey Cooney. If this has already been asked, sorry. Soo many comments! Anyways, do you happen to know the name of the band, that you said was good? They are awesome! If so, do you know if they had any cds or anything? Thanks!

  • Read the video explanation to the right of the video for details.

  • Ha ha... right. That might have been a good idea? Thanks anyways. And thanks for posting your videos! They have really helped me in my conquest to move to japan! I will be there in 2 years! One way or another? Thanks again!

  • Stephanie is hot!

The kid at the end of the video is a fucking weirdo.

  • I was at a concert of hers she was singing at a Convention once we didnt stay to long cause the music was loud and was hurting my dads ears.. ^.^' Lol

  • Wow, Stephanie should never sing again....ever.

  • "Okay...Harajuku doesn't suck....Totally.."ROFL

  • Harajuku. All these kids want is attention and this is a way to show their feelings and style. Just like here in america kids are goth, emo,or what ever its a way to get their point across and is a easy way for everyone nationwide and for themselves to understand. This is easier than writing a letter to the president, ambassador or emperor.

  • pretty sure he can speak japanese -_-

  • hey cooney why do you live in japan?

  • yeah! why?

  • I have to say I don't understand Japanese but I did prefer the one you labeled Good. XD

It takes a lot of courage to just get out there and put your music out there for people to judge, and I have a lot of respect for anyone that could do that.

  • axidolsteph sounds like a very educated person.

  • 7.38 the two other people dressed as lolis beside stephanine... are they men?! O;O

  • Actually, I have a gothic and lolita bible with both of them in it - They're both females 0.0

  • Im pretty certain they are men. Dont ask how I know.

  • Hm....I thought so too, but they listed them as female in the book :/ Oh well, I think you're right.

  • Actually, they may be physically male, but perhaps identify themselves as women. Who knows? I guess it depends on the degree to which they identify with a particular gender.

  • the look on your face and the end was priceless.lol! luv your vids man.I actually just subscribed.thats cool that you got recognition for your work on youtube.keep it up

  • btw i like the music played at 3:19

  • i luvluv harajuku^^

  • Many of photos taken in Harajuku end up in fashion magazines all around the world. A lot of these kids/teens/young adults can't get away with wearing all these extreme fashions in their daily life, so once a week they all get together with their fashion comrades and hope to god someone takes their photo and people all over the world will appreciate what they do/wear.

That being said, I really like the lolita fashion and I would love to explore some of the lolita shops in Harajuku.

  • I love Stephanie Yanez~ I am so glad you went back to Harajuku (well a long time ago haha) and took another vid of it all - been watching your vlogs for the last 2 days and cannot get enough! You are very informative also - thank you so much for doing this and good luck with your career :)

  • LOL at 8:30! But yea I totally agree with you about the kids dressing up thing. I mean i guess its okay, but sometimes some kids just dont do it right and they look bad O_O. Nice vid.

  • Where are they getting the power for these amps?

  • Back in the late seventies on the streets of New York DJ's and early rappers would hotwire light poles and light fixtures to get power...i don't think that's what those guys are doing though...if you've got something that big going on they probably set up big power strips all up and down the Park and it might be free but i bet you have to pay by the hour or something for the power so you can play.

  • Yea, I assumed that was it. They probably rent the power hookups. Of course Tokyo is coursing with electricity in every corner so it's not surprising that you can tap into it out on the sidewalk.

  • Yea. A city like Tokyo is gonna have power strips everywhere if they think they can get money off of it. Maybe I'll get to find out if I get to go. Oneday...
