Full Sail is not a bad school at all, I went there 5 years ago and it wasn't bad experience. It was hard for me as I had very little knowledge of Audio Engineering before I enrolled and that made it very difficult but I still pulled thru, The shitty thing about going to FS or any audio school these days is that there aren't enough jobs out there, studios hire interns to work for free and then fire them to get new ones... You should have connections and a good plan before you sign up to FS.
I am currently a student with the Music Production Program at Full Sail! To those who think its bs I simply say that 2bad you werent able to get the experience you were suppose to get from it!Before I enrolled I did VERY detailed and thorough research on the school¬ only was I impressed with the curriculum i was impressed with the achievements they have accomplished! Highly respected and accredited!I love it!
Anyone who calls full sail a scam, is just a lazy fuck. Full Sail is an aggressive school for aggressive artists, all the rest are going to get weeded out quick, and find the nearest thing they can to blame it on, in this case, Full Sail. Take responsibility for your own actions, Full Sail is a FANTASTIC school, in which I dedicate everything to. Bachelor of Science; Game Art.
@AngrySackBoy Amen brother. I am in the Music Production Program and love it. It's hard as hell, which makes it worth more to me because now I know more about myself and my abilities. Those with the mentality that is portrayed by the Sailer Haters have either epically failed at the full pursuit of their ability or just don't have the stones to make something out of a great resource.
@AngrySackBoy first off, i love the term 'aggressive artist' i gotta say. but yeah man you're not lying when people get weeded out quick; started w/ roughly 90-100 students in the GA program, dropped down to 12 halfway through, and when graduation time came around, grand total of 7 (me included, thank god) made it this past july.
@AngrySackBoy i agree i see all these vids of people hating on full sail when they really had no idea what they were getting into. It's true many of the people who attend online colleges and stuff just did so because they saw an add on a website or a tv commercial and didn't really put much thought into it. Those are the people who will fail. And then theres others with true talent and passion that knows a degree isn't going to get you a job but your work ethic will.
@codeninja100 I'm currently going to full sail for game art and design, and in my first art class there were literally more people drawing stick figures than real stuff. Most of them had never even used photoshop. I think if you can't draw or don't even know what photoshop is, you shouldn't be majoring in game art and design. Since i was 9 i have studied the video game industry cause i knew i wanted to take my opportunity of being part of that industry seriously. i have been making small games
@codeninja100 since i was ten with multiple programming languages. i have had a background in 3ds max, maya, zbrush, sculptris, gmax, turbosquid, dark basic, XNA, C#,Unity3d you name it, i have played around with it or mastered it. I didn't sit at home and just play video games and one day came to the conclusion that i wanted to do it for a living, i took initiative at a young age, because i knew it would be useful later on.
@codeninja100 It is truly a privilege to be able to use full sail as a CATALYST to the skills i developed on MY OWN and not base my success completely the schools lack of teaching me anything. The people who do that are lazy, and just want to blame someone for their own ineptitude.
Okay people, listen up.Full Sail gives you a degree not a job.Harvard,MIT,Or county colleges will give you a degree, not a job.People bash full sail because it's a popular school, and it teaches you everything you need to know about your program. The problem with RA, it is a dying business(you can thank fostwire)So no matter where you go to school,it will be extremely hard to find a job, stop blaming full sail, if anyone wants to disagree with me, message me, and well see how that goes.
@zomven1 You only end up working at burger king if you sit home and expect someone to call you for a job. I went to fullsail and am kicking ass at my film career. Along with quite a few people i know who are not siting in their apartment or at their mom and dads house feeling sorry for themselves
@kevinm3183 Thx dude this made me feel btr. i read all the cmnts hatin on fs n im goin there for music production in sept. im rly happy to be a part of it and can't wait to start. i was rlyy concerned about the career placement thing tho. obviously u get what u put into it..but how do you climb the ladder to get the good payin job? dnt get me wrong-music is my life, and id do it for free if i had to, but i wna be 1 of those people who dn't 'work' a day in their life cuz they enjoy it. u noe?
@zomven1 All the bad talk about Full Sail started with the people that graduated and sit at home waiting for people to call. Just like Kevinm3183 said. FS may not be accredited by the same people that accredit other colleges and universities. But even the military accepts FS degrees for people who wanna join as on officer. Pepperdine University, An awesome school in Malibu, California has accepted students with degrees from FS into their Law School.
i take all that shit back THIS SCHOOL IS A FUCKING SCAM. THEY PAY PEOPLE TO PROMOTE THIS SCHOOL FULL-TIME ON THE WEB.

Real life at Full Sail: Earn an unaccredited degree, waste your money, work at Burger King.
