I've never been a fan of Tiesto (although I do like his older releases and remixes), but I will not deny that he's one of the most respected and talented music producers in the world. I'm not saying he's good, and I'm not saying he's bad, but some of his tunes aren't strong enough for me personally. Tiesto was here in Chicago last month and my best friend begged me (literally) to go with him to his live sets. He's pretty good. I know his wife, Stacey, is so proud of him.
I dont know why people bash on tiesto so much. He makes some damn good mixes, and NO ONE can get to his status by being a shitty dj. People pay him for a reason, it's not just for his name.
Who cares who thinks who is a better dj, they all have their own style and they all have their own FUCKING lives. Who really cares after all? If your gonna hate on someone for liking something that you dont, you need a big reality check
Totally agree with "Flamoutche1" most people outside the Europe dont understand this sort of music, coz this is basically European musci, outhere u got rap, rock, hip-hop and pops :) down here we have, trance, techno, house, electro, drum & bass, progressive, hardstyle, hardcore, etc :)

And making music on a computer is only as hard as the music you are programming. Fact is, with the slew of samples and templates available, a track like Tiesto's wouldn't take too long to produce.

I used to like this guys music when I was younger, but man he sounds like a dick here. He's more interested in playing to 'hip people' in the 'hotspots' than making music... His head has disappeared up his own ass. And he didn't realise the internet was 'already this big'!? He manages to sound like an idiot in this interview. Nothing about the music, all about partying etc..
As much as I hate what you say, it sadly is true. He has such a talent, like Edward Carnby that he recently released is pure gold. But he's clearly not doing it for the music anymore..

as much as i love tiesto, i think armin is over taking him now. i went tiesto and armin this year, and armin only for 9 hours was a much better production than tiesto's show. still both great djs

Tiesto is starting to fade buddy. I've been to Tiesto and Armin concerts and Armin's was so much better. Btw Tiesto was the DJ who introduced me to the world of trance but he is not what he used to be. His style changed... It's all marketing now. Still a great DJ but I don't think he does it for the music anymore.
Why he didn't talk about what happened in Bahrain and about his studio i never seen an interview in his studio, to be honest with ya guys i do not believe that he is the only one who produce element of life songs
