i always thought though that the best way to keep food fressh is only kill it when you need it. ITs like restaraunts in the uk by all there food ready prepared and this limits the shelf life which in turn limits how long restaraunt owners can keep meat fresh. It seems the supermarkets want this to make sure that peoples food will not last long so they will be forced to come back regularly to buy more. supermarkets suck and all the waste they create

Japan has Sushi, Okonomiaki, Udon, Ramen, Saimen, Sukiyaki, Tempura,Miso soup,Shitaake soup, various soba dishes,skewered dishes, hibachi. Japanese cuisine is by far some of the tastiest in the world and can even cater to any type of taste. If raw fish is too brave try a hibachi grill, it is delicious. Or some tempura veggies (the sweet potatoes are awesome)
