Wow, where do we start? Yes I suck at the "Waiters" one, but I excel at the "Doctors" thing...ever press and hold up to go faster? I'm awesome at Cracker Eating, racked up $1500 or so in one go last night...the Stooges fight scene/deal gives you the opportunity to slow the hand down, did you see where it said slow/fast...how anyone sucks at that part I don't get. Lastly, I don't care for the Boxing either, but you're just not that good, period.
Just to echo what the other people are saying, here we have a game someone downloaded, who never read the manual, doesn't understand anything about the Three Stooges, and doesn't understand the limitations of the system.
The emergency room level has you going to the emergency room. The quicker you get there, the more money you get. The boxing level reuses backgrounds because for an NES game this has a ton of voice, and that uses memory. And the slapping level lets you control the cursor speed.
this game came out when i was around 5 and i played the shit out of it. NO, its no call of duty or halo but its fucking OLD and there was no such thing that even came close to halo etc when this came into existence. you must be a youngster that never got the chance to live the glory days where you had to actually use a little imagination.

The game is pretty good if you can get pass the whole concept of doing the missions over and over again. By the way, the part where Moe is hitting Curly and Larry, determins the speed of picking the selections and avoiding mouse traps and the villian.

The whole boxing thing is based around their 2nd episode where Curly fights the champion. He's mostly a wuss but he will fight like a champ only when a particular song is being played. Larry has to get the radio and come back since his violin breaks. Once he does it, Curly whoops ass and wins the fight.
It was a fun and nostalgic game, you're just too dense to realize it.

The mini-games were fun and pretty challenging, plus I wanted to see all three endings. And whoever designed the mini-games, the trivia, and the overall storyline obviously was intimately familiar with the Stooges and wanted to make a game that reflected them.

Truly so... On top of that we have to consider the technical limitations of the NES at the time!!! For example, sound was not in Stereo, there was limit to memory and rom space and the NES was only an 8-bit system!!!
Lame video. 3 Stooges is a decent and NES game with an original storyline and decent controls for most of the minigames, most of which are fun. The lame text comments show that the reviewer has never has seen an 3 Stooges episode in his life, since all the minigames, matching outfits, etc., all come from classic episodes.

On this game, when you finished (because the 30-day period ended or all your fingers were trapped by the mousetrap) you need to raise $5000 at least to save the orphanage. And if you get more than $10000, you could repair the orphan house.
I grew up with this game for DOS that I played with a Tandy 1000. It looks more fun than the nes version. And hey, back off man, its nintendo. All the games were retarded, and thats why they kick ass.

If I was playing Halo 2, and I stood in one place and threw grenaides on the ground and blew myself up for twenty minutes, that game would appear to suck as well. I will say this, in fairness: the game has a fucking STEEP learnign curve. But I used to play it for hours as a kid, with my niece and nephew (roughly my age, don't ask) and we took turns on the games we were good at. We'd rack up thousands of dollars per game.
It's easy to mock a game when you're not playing it right. It's obvious you aren't even trying during any of the games. The doctor's game allows you to SPEED UP and then it becomes challenging and fun to avoid the people. The slapping game, which you play as Moe, and which you claim "has no point" is used to slow your hand down on the map. You didn't even attempt to play that right. Of course things look stupid when you do them wrong.
Man, you must have been really bad at this game to hate it so bad. This was one of the most awesome and easy games for the old 8 bit system. I guess you have to be my age to appreciate the humor and gameplay on this.

I tell you what, I'm old school but I invite any teen/early 20's to try and play some of what we played, like breakout, missile command. They looked simple but I think that they required more accuracy and skill. Things happen a bit slower but I've seen 'em give up after a few tries! Thanks for the memories!
The point of the fighting is to slow down the hand that randomly goes over items. The more you smack Larry and Curly about, the slower the hand is, which makes selecting the squares you want to go over easier.
Man, did you ever watch a single Stooges episode? Everything in this game was from a classic Stooges bit. Live oysters were in the soup because it was FUNNY, not because it was real. Personally, I liked this game. The graphics & sound were good by NES standards (looked & sounded just like the real Stooges at times.) Also, I had fun slapping the s**t out of Larry & Curly. The music in the game was really good. The opening theme to the Stooges shorts was Three Blind Mice. The song in the operating room is the "B a Bay, B e Bee, B i Bickey Bo Bee Bi Bo Bickey Bi Bo." song that was from a classic short. It was a song used to help a group of college girls learn the alphabet. And of course Pop goes the Weasel was the song that made curly go into a frenzy and could fight anyone. Thats why larry is racing to the music store. Its from another classic short.

Have you ever even watched the Three Stooges? All of these games are based on scenes from shorts they filmed. If you've never seen them, you don't get the references, and the game is therefore not fun.

But even if you consider that, the fact that the game is nothing but doing these same show related mini games over and over again, as well as answering the occassional trivia question, the gamke just isn't fun. You know they re-made this game for the Gameboy Adbance back a few years ago.The only difference is upgraded sound and a second publisher instead of just Activision.How do I know? I owned it for a short time before I got bored and sold it.

I grew up with this game for DOS that I played with a Tandy 1000. It looks more fun than the nes version. And hey, back off man, its nintendo. All the games were retarded, and thats why they kick ass.

If I was playing Halo 2, and I stood in one place and threw grenaides on the ground and blew myself up for twenty minutes, that game would appear to suck as well. I will say this, in fairness: the game has a fucking STEEP learnign curve. But I used to play it for hours as a kid, with my niece and nephew (roughly my age, don't ask) and we took turns on the games we were good at. We'd rack up thousands of dollars per game.

It's easy to mock a game when you're not playing it right. It's obvious you aren't even trying during any of the games. The doctor's game allows you to SPEED UP and then it becomes challenging and fun to avoid the people. The slapping game, which you play as Moe, and which you claim "has no point" is used to slow your hand down on the map. You didn't even attempt to play that right. Of course things look stupid when you do them wrong.

Man, you must have been really bad at this game to hate it so bad. This was one of the most awesome and easy games for the old 8 bit system. I guess you have to be my age to appreciate the humor and gameplay on this.

I tell you what, I'm old school but I invite any teen/early 20's to try and play some of what we played, like breakout, missile command. They looked simple but I think that they required more accuracy and skill. Things happen a bit slower but I've seen 'em give up after a few tries! Thanks for the memories!

The point of the fighting is to slow down the hand that randomly goes over items. The more you smack Larry and Curly about, the slower the hand is, which makes selecting the squares you want to go over easier.
Hence, the 'slower/faster' bar.

Man, did you ever watch a single Stooges episode? Everything in this game was from a classic Stooges bit. Live oysters were in the soup because it was FUNNY, not because it was real. Personally, I liked this game. The graphics & sound were good by NES standards (looked & sounded just like the real Stooges at times.) Also, I had fun slapping the s**t out of Larry & Curly. Not the greatest game ever, but what did you expect from "The Three Stooges" anyway, ya numbskull!

The music in the game was really good. The opening theme to the Stooges shorts was Three Blind Mice. The song in the operating room is the "B a Bay, B e Bee, B i Bickey Bo Bee Bi Bo Bickey Bi Bo." song that was from a classic short. It was a song used to help a group of college girls learn the alphabet. And of course Pop goes the Weasel was the song that made curly go into a frenzy and could fight anyone. Thats why larry is racing to the music store. Its from another classic short.

There is a point to the scene where the stooges are on an empty wall.
Look closely and you'll notice that Moe's hand goes faster and faster each passing day.
When you do the scene where they beat up each other, each time Moe hits larry or Curly the speed of his hand slows down.
Without it, eventually his hand will go superfast across the paper and it's a crapshoot whether or not your gonna hit one of the games or a moustrap.

Have you ever even watched the Three Stooges? All of these games are based on scenes from shorts they filmed. If you've never seen them, you don't get the references, and the game is therefore not fun.

I admit, that I haven't watched much of the Three Stooges, so yeah... I see what you mean. But even if you consider that, the fact that the game is nothing but doing these same show related mini games over and over again, as well as answering the occassional trivia question, the gamke just isn't fun. Perhaps it would be more enjoyable if I knew more about the stuff, but I'd have top think... not by very much.

i would like 2 clear up some things about this game, considering this person must not no ANYTHING about the shorts! curly wears his hat 2 the side in the cracker level. every1 else wears theirs the other way. curly's just being curly in that part. moe is NOT checking larry's head for a fever. he is patting him on the head 4 bringing the radio. anyway, just wanted 2 clear up the facts 4rm a guy who REALLY KNOWS his stooges.

I remember playing that game on an old PC 20 (yep, 20) years ago. there's also a PS1 version, but it's even harder to find than the PS1 Samurai Shodown 1 & 2 compilation disc.
