Thanks you... for this information about Flax .....also beer is very estrogenic (the hops) in the beer !Clover , sunflower seeds , wheat , oats ,eggs.,, .these are all Estrogenic foods
@SunspiritTribe Yeah, that's what I thought, thanks. One thing though, I'm in Japan at the moment, and in restaurants they serve raw soybeans in their pods, so am I doing harm to my body by consuming them? Perhaps the pods are boiled prior and then cooled?
OMG, I'm sick of people attacking soy, the Chinese have been consuming soy products for 1000's of years, what the hell are all these people on about? Please explain somewhere...
@aaronscrewme We are one consciousness experiencing ourselves subjectively in various subsystems which multiply out from the larger consciousness system. So in turn, when you insult me, and your mama, you are insulting yourself. So ask yourself, is there any point in insulting yourself?
I love macadamia, oranges and avocados! have you thought about adding a modest amount of organic eggs, white meats and fishes to your diet? go ahead and be healthy!!!
I love the aroma of oranges! they say in aromatherpy, orange is energizing & when orange scent in used in a work invironment, it can help increase work production. The rinds of the orange can be saved & used for a freshener in drawers or closets, or the rind can be dried & grated for en extra zing in recipes.
$25 :) you better let us know to! Lol I take way to much pride in guessing prices & value of things! I love fresh oranges! but only if their peeled and I like them cold & not too seedy, my sister always cuts them, find the sweet spot/belly button of the orange oposite from the steam side, dig your thumb in and peel the rind off, its the best way! :)
Depends on if you know the grower. The area I live in is packed with growers. IF I knew them I could get cheap. If I didn't if could be expensive. The oranges $10.00 the avocados $20.00 and the macadamia nuts (which you didn't say the weight) I would guess $15.00 = $45.00 how did I do?
Eating flax seeds or flax oil? I am a male and I put grinded flax seeds in my green smoothie often. Are you saying that grinded flax seeds are bad for me now? It seems like every other week some other raw plant food is "harmful" to the body. I also heard that raw blueberries are toxic to the body if eaten on Sundays.
If you don't mind me sharing my views on this, the lignans in flax are also present in the oil, even though some people say the oil is estrogen free, often these oils say "high lignan flax oil".
It's up to you if you wish to feminize your body, there's no "bad" just something that might be going against what you're trying to accomplish.
Blueberries are not toxic one day of the week. They're good any day of the week :p
@ SOL: Sorry, I'm not buying this snake oil for a second. I've been adding a handful of grinded flax seeds to my green smoothie a few times a week for the past few years and I don't feel like I'm "feminizing my body" in the slightest. My once a week cross dressing doesn't count considering I was doing that prior to the flax seeds.
Not sure what you mean by snake oil... as I'm not selling anything, in fact you're the one talking about taking oil! If you do a little research on the subject you'll learn about the negative impacts of phytoestrogens.
By weight flax is 3x high in estrogen than even soy and we know that soy destroys testicular tissue. Flax was never used in large quantities in traditional cultures, it was always a remedy used in sparring amounts. Chia, Avo's and algae are great alternative sources of omega 3's.
What do you know about Mexican Wild Yam in relationship to hormones, eaten whole, not an extract DHEA. I read that the people some Pacific islands eat this yam as a staple and remain very vibrant and youthful while virility to old age. Just wondered if you heard more about this root. And also, would it be good for the adrenals?
Intersting Video. Right now conventional naval oranges are going for a $1.00 apiece where I live and avocados are $1.50 apiece. You have quite a haul there.Good luck opening those macadamia nuts. I am going to guess that you bargained really well and paid $25.00 for all of it.
I have found that flax DOES effect Estrogen. My grandmother raises Newfoundland dogs ( large dogs, most are human size) She feeds them a natural diet . At one point she started adding ground flax to their food. What resulted was females were aborting their puppies and males were becoming sterile.Once she stopped, the dogs went back to normal. I found this very interesting
121 total is my guess

As I understand it, flax is not allowed throughout much of Europe and our FDA won't grant flax G.R.A.S. status (generally regarded as safe).
