How can people not like what Northug did? He literally teaches the rest of the world elite a lesson by simply zooming away, so why the hell shouldn't he be allowed to celebrate it? And besides, without him, cross country skiing wouldn't even be the same.

@KevinLervik I assume that you mean when a soccerplayer celebrates a goal? Well, there're basically 2 differences. First of all, they celebrate. They don't mock the loosing team. Secondly, when it really is about the last run it's up to individuals. In other words, soccer is a team-sport - "we" and "them". I think it's worse when Petter's making a mockery of Marcus like this. It wouldn't be as bad if it's about 2 teams (like it is in soccer). Why did Northug have to be such a ahole?

Come on, people! Petter Northug is ONE norwegian, just because HE acts like a douchebag, doesn't mean that the entire nation is that way. He's clearly not the only un-sporty person here, you guys are great examples of how bad losers you can possibly be. I'm norwegian myself, but I really dislike him. But that does not mean you have THE RIGHT to talk like that. There are plenty on Canadian, Swedish, American, whatever, people who are just as arrogant as him, but I don't see you complaining.

Everyone here that tries to talk down Northug is either a swede, or someone who got a really bad sense of humour. He performed better than anyone else, and makes a hell of a show for the spectators.
