What frustrates me most about the movie is how the monsters really have no connection to Rose or anyone else, as they were originally manifestations of James's sexual frustration in the game. Here they're just on for fandom, nothing more. I enjoyed the movie, but purely for entertainment's sake, as there was little to no accuracy or faith to the game.
