15 people woke up underwater in a dark bathroom in a mental institution with a doctor and a dead guy. They had pulled the plug to the bathtub, thus draining the water. They found hacksaws and then tried to cut through their chains and failed. Then they flashed back for about 90 minutes. Then they made a failing plan, the doctor didn't manage to kill them, and then he cut off his foot and crawled away. They were stuck with the dead guy, who got up and said the key went down the drain.

Zepps mission was to kill Diana and her daughter, if her husband (The doctor) didn't kill Adam in 6 hours, and jigsaw tells him that his key was in the bathtub, but i flushed out when he woke up, so he was doomed, btw Dr. Zepp lost the game

@moabai There's not that much actual gore in the first Saw movie. The infamous sawed off foot scene isn't even showing the mutilation, rather focusing on Dr. Gordon's face. People just exaggerate the gore in this movie; you mainly just see a lot of blood. It's the later films that show all the gore.

In Saw 3 (I believe) its revealed through a flashback that when Jigsaw and Amanda are setting up this trap, Jigsaw injects himself with something that slows down his heart rate putting him in a hibernating like sleep. Although it would leave a plot hole as to how he was able to shock Gordon and Adam but....whatever.
