@ndzoko oh, but prayer is effective. I have countless times that I have prayed and received almost instant answers to the prayer. In 1939 the church prayed, yes, but they remained inactive. it's not a matter of praying and stopping their, God calls us to take action, for we are His body and we are to act for His honor and do His will. Living prayer is what we are to do.
Prayer has been proven 100% ineffective in earthly matters, inspite of all Jesus promises to the contrary. In 1939 the whole christian wolrd was praying litterally, day and night, in Jesus name, for world peace. What did we get ??? 60 million corpses.

i totally agree with this. should we be praying every moment too? like "be with me" or "be with us" every moment in our lives when we get the chance? cause we can never go wrong if God is with us every moment of our lives or we cannot lose any spiritual or any battle with God
I would venture to say no, because if you have the Holy Spirit, he is always with you anyway. Can't hurt I suppose, because then you're more aware of the Holy Spirit's presence... but God is always with us and pursuing us, we never have to fear that He is not. :D

Uh oh, somebody doesn't understand what they're critisizing. Read James and maybe you'll have some idea about how Christians are commanded to pray and act. In the future you should only comment on something that you understand.

Great message! If we draw closer to him, he will draw closer to us. In order to find God we must search out his ways.
His ways are sooo much higher than ours. It will take better than a lifetime to to Learn, therefore we are under Grace.

Prayer is an excuse to stay comfortably at home
while feeling like you are helping others.
Prayer is nearly always a substitute for getting involved.
Or, in the case of praying for the sick,
