Does anyone remember the Gino's at Route 130 in Cinnaminson? There was a horse corral right next to the restaurant, and we got reemed for trying to feed the Horse french fries!
I had one of these kites when I was a kid in '71, the thing only few when it was really windy. I got caught up in a power line... it stayed up there for years too -lol
Wasn't there a Gino's at Broad and Snyder (in South Philly) way back in the 70's? I used to go there with my mom, then it turned into a Roy Rogers I believe.
@kjb2835 There will be ten GINO'S restaurants in the Baltimore area, And 20 total in the state of Maryland. The first Baltimore area location will open this fall. They have not announce the first Baltimore area location yet.
@luno44 - Gino's was sold out in the early 1980s to Marriott, best known for their hotel chain, which changed most of the Gino's locations to Roy Rogers restaurants. The original crew (including Gino Marchetti) just resurrected the chain in October 2010 in the company's former hometown of King of Prussia, PA. Plans are to expand, but if they don't bring the company back to what it used to be (a good, affordable place), they won't succeed, as not everyone wants to pay $6 for an upscale burger.
I remember Gino's back in the day when I was a kid in New Jersey. Used to have my favorite burgers. Ate at the new Gino's in King of Prussia, PA last night. It's alot different. For one, the burgers are real expensive. I paid $6 for bacon cheeseburger. Nothing fancy. It was ok. Good but not worth $6.
@hatter73 - Gino's had the exclusive KFC franchise throughout the Mid-Atlantic states.
The Gino's you speak of later became a Roy Rogers, then a Hardee's, then back to Roy's because of the huge customer revolt, then a Boston Market, then a pizzeria of some sort, and finally Tonelli's took it over so they could enlarge from their original store at 611 & Horsham Rd. There was another Gino's in Willow Grove.
(UMHS 1982 - I grew up just 3 blocks south of Blair Mill Rd., 1/2 block west of PA 611)
@McNabbulous - In September 2010, Gino's started hiring for their first new restaurant, which will be in their old hometown. Their first store will be at 611 W. DeKalb Pk. (US 202) in King of Prussia. They are looking for locations throughout the Delaware Valley.
Yeah Gino's - I thought I was the only one who remembered this place. They were the go to place for KFC Chicken in New Jersey. Anyone remember Rustler's Steak House?
Does anyone remember that, Tin Lizzie, Gino's gave away about 1969??

Judging on the quality of this commercial, I predict there are no more Gino's. And what's with the fat kid?
