  • @beauquetarabian They are bonding animals, they will adapt with one another quite quickly.

  • @WeLoveBeingRandom

  • HEY! I saw your huge bin cage on a forum you connected 2 plastic storage bins together Im trying to do that for my hamsters... can you personal message me a close up pick of the connection between the bins and a tutorial on how you connected the 2 bins together. thank you:)

  • Hello!

my dog managed to sniff one of my nervous degus and straight away he started to squeal and hide in the corner. It shocks the others and I went to stroke him to calm him and he did the same thing. Please reply and tell me what I can do

  • Hey(: I might be getting some degus soon... 3 actually. I don't want to breed. Should I get all girls or all boys? people tell me if you get two males they will fight.. are they right or wrong?

Btw will they be scared of my dog barking?

and can the be put into a hamster ball like hamsters? thanks xx

  • @InnerStarrr

Males get along with each other as well as females do...however the adolescent period (6-18 months of age) in males can sometimes be quite lively (lots of squabbles and bickering).

Yes, loud dogs, noisy birds or other disruptive animals should be kept away from the degus...especially if the degus are new to your home and not used to such an environment.

No, a running ball is totally unacceptable for degus. It can cause them trauma and health issues related to stroke/overheating
