Ahh, my Weimer turns 4 in September and he also does this .
I thought he was the only one. I will post a video. When I ask him " Where is your blankie" he goes and finds his blanket and starts sucking. So cute!
I have 2 "Wammers" , 6 and 10 years old, and both have done this all of their life. They have extra large stuffed bears with great noses to latch onto.
i really thought my julie (7 months old.. weim too!) was the only one.. she loves to do this to her favorite blanket.. or whatever blanket mom has at the time! and she moves her "little" big paws lk she nursing on it too!
my cat, years back then used to do the same tho grew up , but i thought she was doin it bc found abandoned in the street as a little kitten. now i know its bc she liked it! txs for the vid. best wishes to all beings lovers from Poland. kk
Opal also has the Weimaraner "smile" and I can usually get her to do it on command. She is hysterical when she does this!! LOL!! Hooch is adorable! Thanks for posting the video.
My weim is 8 years old and has done this his whole life....with a monkey, and only on the left leg of the monkey. He won't go to sleep wihtout the monkey either. I buy them in bulk - 30 at a time!
OMG...my weim did this her entire life!! The funniest thing was, she always managed to find the face, and suck on it. She also kneaded it while she sucked. This vid brought back many memories! Thx 4 sharing.

My late Weimaraner did this too. We had to have him put down about a month ago due to congestive heart failure. Thank you for posting this video.

My Weim, Opal Ann, has a collection of
heart pillows that she sucks on just like
this, and has all her life! LOL!! She also
does the paddling motion with her front
paws like she is actually nursing too!!!
And she was NOT an orphan! I've had
her since she was a puppy 10 weeks old.

My favorite thing Louie (or weimaraner) does. He's done it since he was a little pup, I'm so happy to see they don't grow out of it!
