Most epic Skrimir moment ever: on my first play-through of Radiant Dawn, I finally, FINALLY managed to get to the Greil Mercenary levels. I was just getting used to them, almost made it to the boss (not Septimus by this point), and...Skrimir attacks one of the boss' mooks and kills him, but then shifts to human form. The boss then attacks him, and SKRIMIR KILLS HIM WITH A CRITICAL HIT PUNCH. He, I say again, PUNCHED the guy's head in. :D
I attacked Septimus with Lethe. He said like," THEY WANT TO CONSUME ME!." Then I attacked him with Ike, and he went," Oh, you're not one of them, I'll kill you." Then Ike killed him.
Skrimir is my favorite of the Radiant Dawn-only character, and not just because he is one of the only ones with any decent development. He seemed like such a real character to me.
From his theme, I feel a lion's power and pride. I see him rallying his countrymen, then charging headlong into battle.
Skrimir really is a moron, but that's why I love him so much. He has a distinct character. At the culmination of his idiocy, that is, getting his red leonine arse handed to him by Zelgius due to being blinded by his own pride, some genuine character development takes place. It's not the most epic example of character development I've ever seen, but it's always nice to see characters change and grow. And that development wouldn't have taken place if he had known better from the start.
I didn't say I did. I was just admiring a small chunk of development I personally found interesting. Fire Emblem stories are simple and cliche, but who's to say a mundane story can't have a few shining moments?
In fact, I hate Radiant Dawn's story. But I still think it had a couple of gems that deserve praise.
srry I was going to up it, but accidentaly pressed down. =( By the way I never played RD cause I have no Wii. Really want to though... I played BS, SS, and PoR
Skrimir was one of the best developed characters in the game, when you think about it. And one of the more emotionally and thematically important, especially from the laguz side.
I brought him into the tower with me. He was even more beastly than he was meant to be. :V
FINALLY YOU PUT THIS UP! Well, I don't think I ever vocally said I wanted it... but mind-reading, ye know? :43-:53 wins. (1:27-1:47 is more...1:58-2:08) Which is primarily why I wanted it. :o

Septimus = Linebeck from LoZ:PH
I'm serious. They both look alike and they're both cowards.

You have to admit he is an absolute moron during his introduction and during the war council.
Getting himself trapped like that. Ranulf should've sent Lethe and Lyre as "diversions." At least THEN they would prove useful.

True, but if you're going to buy a Fire Emblem game for the story then you should question game choice. Not to say Fire Emblem is a bad game.

I know you weren't praising it to the Heavens. I agree that Skirmir provided a nice little twist as a character.
Though Micaiah was horribly done.
youtuguru 2 years ago
No arguments here. Micaiah was the epitome of badly written Mary Sue. Ick.

Lol XD Every time I hear this, I remember the first time I heard this and what Soren said:
"My, what a stupid speech..."

Furthermore, a better name for this song in my opinion would be 'Lion on the prowl'.
