I can't remember exactly but it was probably QFM96, 99.7 The Blitz, or 107.1 The Big WAZU. WAZU is gone though and The Blitz is now a pathetic version of QFM96's classic rock called The Rock.
my parents were sailing on alum creek when i called them to tell them that a tornado warning had been issued for lane ave.(my sister lives close to lane ave) i was camping at deer creek, and actually saw the funnel cloud.
Yeah I totally get what you're saying but there was no rain, no lightning, no sirens. I just happened to turn on the radio to hear the warning and saw the cloud in the sky!!! We were out there w/ tons of other boaters and as you can see, a class for beginning kayakers! It was practically a fluke accident waiting to happen!
@ashlanas You are correct sir, if you are not from Ohio and you spend enough time in Ohio you will learn this. It still has not yet snowed in the middle of summer yet but i bet it will one day.
Update: It was just a wall cloud and not the actual tornado, per weatherman, Jim Ganahl. It was a view of the back of the storm. Also, the warning sirens did not sound in this area, which I hope has now been fixed. As you can see, there was a school of kayakers right next to us!
Dude! I was on that beach last week right by the dam. What's frustrating is that I've been trying to get the Delaware County EMA and county commisioners to put in a tornado siren system but I've made hardly any progress.
I figured I'd let you know that I've made tons of progress with getting a siren system put in. I lead the EMA to a company that makes the loudest sirens on the market and we were able to bring the number of sirens from 155ish to 46 and cut the cost of installation in half. We'll have 20 128dB sirens and 26 135dB sirens according to the rough draft plan that Brian Galligher from the Delaware County EMA sent me.
They don't make the P-50 (or T-135AC in this case) anymore which is somewhat of a bummer because it's such a spooky sounding siren. They would be installing the newer T-135AC/DCs if they win the bid.
thats insainly scary!!!

Good idea and good luck w/ that! Had we not been listening to the radio, we wouldn't have known there was a warning.
