Even as a young child I disliked this show - it just seemed silly to me. However, I LOVED the theme, and would sometimes turn the TV on just for the opening credits so I could hear it. What a catchy tune!
wow I just memorized the whole song... A horse is a horse of course of course and no one can talk to a horse of course, that is of course unless the horse is the famous mr ed! Go right to the source and ask the horse he'll give you the answer that you endorse, he's always on a steady course, talk to mr ed!... lol
A few years ago I saw a fellow wearing a Mr. Ed wristwatch, since then I've wanted one so bad. I would scrap my boring Omega in an instant for an Ed watch. If anyone knows who made them or where to get one of these treasures please reply. Need Ed watch.....need it!
Other shows I liked: Green Acres, F Troop, The Rifleman, Have Gun Will Travel, The Saint, Petticoat Junction, The Beverly Hillbillies, and the Carol Burnett show.
Does the "Mr. Ed" theme song really say: "Son of Satan", and other satanic messages, when played backwards? Can somebody play it backwards for me, and let me know, please?
Can anybody play this "Theme Song" backwards for me, and let me know if there are really "Satanic Messages" in it? My sister once heard it played backwards on the radio, and she swears she heard: "Son of Satan!"
LOL after I first saw this show when I was little, every birthday and Christmas (until I was old enough to know better) I would wish that my pony could talk lol. Although sometimes I find myself wishing that my horse could talk... so so much for wisdom lol!
Such a fantastic show! "Wilbur, I want contact lenses!"
Many people may not realise but Mr Ed was actually a Unicorn. The art department sand papered down his horn and put stunt horse hair over the stump. I was reading about it in this weeks edition of Unicorn Weekly!
there were rumors that Mr. Ed was accually a ZEBRA! Another was that he was ROy Roger's Trigger. I took pictures of trigegr, mr ed, zebras, and a saddlebred, and it is very fake. btw, does anyone know when Mr Ed is on? I know that hes on TV land, but idk the time.
I heard that Neil Butterman, the horse that played Mr Ed, was dubbed by another horse (rumor has it that it was Miles Davington, famous for his excellent role in Bonanza), because Neil always forgot the lines. Oh, these Hollywood stories...

But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say
