Palin dodged and didn't answer many questions in the VP debate, instead used talking points and didn't answer how McCain would be different than Bush. Biden answered the questions and won the debate on that. At times, Palin disregarded the questions and went on her talking points. Biden made his case for Obama and pointed out McCain's flaws while answering the questions. And that statement on Palin wanting more VP power after what Cheney did in this country really scares me.

Unfortunately, you are right. There's been little attempt on the Reps side to cater to black voters (not minorities in general,but black voters specifically). What I've noticed is that typically you see a division of "oh, this demographic is mine, this demographic is yours" types of breakdown based on the people running. If you notice there isn't a whole lot of "Obama is trying to sway the senior citizens and ex-war veterans" focus either. (This wasn't a rebuttle to your comment, just addition).

When it comes to policy, the Republican ticket flips and flops. The record of McCain contradicts what he says and they are easily found when surveying the media library. Obama has been consistent. He never wavers when questioned on policy decisions in the past or future.
