  • Great video, but I don't think it's necessary to remove the hoses from the pump, you can just move it to the side with hoses attached to get access to the motor, or at least that's how I did it.

  • Thanks so much Mike! Fixed mine in under 30 minutes! Saved me a big repair bill, waiting days to get it repaired or the bigger expense of replacing it and the bigger bother of carrying the new one in and the old one out. Some money for a case of beer is on its way! Thanks!!

  • thank you for helping me. exact everything ! and it happened to be broken coupler, one of the white ones! now where do I find the part ? ha ha !

  • @iztheterrible there's a phone number on the video to order the part,

  • @iztheterrible there's a phone number on the video to order the part.

  • Awesome Man! My wife thinks im a genius!

  • You make us look like heros out here! Thank you!

  • Thank you sooooo much. Spent $20 on the coupler & less than 1 hour installing it. The wife is happy once again.

  • Spot On! Your video just saved me from what I'm sure would be an expensive repair bill. It's amazing that my Kitchen Aid washer's interior is identical to the washer in your video. The hardest part was getting those darn clamps back on the motor. I don't have a paypal account but if you're ever in Kansas City, I'll buy you several rounds of beer. Thanks!

  • This video is one of the best! It helped me figure out what was wrong with my washer.

  • Great vid. Hey thanks so much. I will buy you a beer. Video was detailed and simple to follow. You should post other repairs. They are extremely helpful. Thanks.

  • good job!!

  • Great Video, Mike! Very smooth presentation; and perhaps I missed it, but it would be nice if you began presentation with what the symptom(s) of a broken coupler is/are. Right now I have a washer that makes a death noise at the end of the spin cycle as the tub continues to spin...If you read this and have any idea's, please pass 'em along...

Otherwise, thanks again for the great tutorial!!

  • Mike, I would REALLY like to thank you! I just watched this video and was able to fix our washing machine and saved some serious money. I appreciate your work. Thank you buddy!!!

  • thank you, great video, easy to follow and saved me the cost of a repair man.

    appliancemike you are the man!!

  • Thanks for the great tutorial! I have used this twice now to replace the coupler on my washer. Great video for the DIYer!

  • Wonderful tutorial! Greatly helped me change the coupler in my washing machine. Great work mike!

    Thank you,

    Dave

  • You are a life saver! This was a wonderful help!

  • Thanks for this video I was able to replace the coupler for my Kenmore washer easily. Plus clean the back and underneath of the washer after 10 years! Yes, I need to buy this guy a beer.

  • I found the coupling for $4.22 on google product search Just thought I would pass it on to all. It is the cheapest I could find and they have friendly people that will help you too.

  • Thanks for the advice - this helped hubby to fix our washing machine :)

  • Very well put video tutorial Mike .You explained each step correctly in how to change a motor coupling .This issue is very common on whilrlpool & kenmore washer machines .Usually you can identify if the coupler is the problem by just looking to see if the star like shape plastic part on the coupler is cracked The item Number for this part is #285753a .Thanks for the video

  • I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial! We were able to make a 10 year old, $50 washer run like new again in about an hour. The washer broke late Saturday night which caused us to panic, but we figured out what the issue was and watched your video and we're washing clothes for the week as I type this. Five of the six plastic pegs had snapped off, and the rubber was so broken down that none of the peg holes were even remaining.

Seriously, thank you so, so much!

  • Thanks!! Ive been fixing domestic refrigerators for 8 years and im great at it. Now im fixing samsung and lg washers and dryers. There a pain in this ass but im getting it. I just dont like customers with there W& D in a tight spot or closet! lol!

  • mike you rock i fixed my washer in an hour flat!!! doing laundry now! great explanation.

  • I actually left the pump hoses attached and they didn't get in the way. Less messy clean up. The hardest part of this whole thing is getting the coupler parts to line up when installing the motor.

  • Awesome video, Mike!

Luckily - I read the comment from mbrandon9, and I was able to catch most of the water spillage.

Working on my washer was just like everything you showed in the video, and it was a breeze.

Have a beer on me... (sent from my PayPal account labeled: TrackDayRiders)

  • Good Job. I personally put the rubber boot on the transmission side. Each to their own. Also- why remove the hoses from pump? Simply rotate pump toward left side. (I have a long screwdriver that I place in the hole on bottom left of frame. This keeps pump out of the way.) Removing the hoses is more effort and possibly opens the possibility of leakage greater than just leaving them alone.Be sure to turn the transmission shaft (spline as you called it) to test if the transmission is locked.

  • Thanks Mike for the easy to understand & follow video. The culprit of my machine was a broken plastic coupler. Thanks for the help:)

  • Wish I had of watched these " how to " videos before I " tore up my washing machine !!!! "

Now I know where to go to get some advice!!!!

    Thanks

    Joe E.

  • Thanks a bunch. You just saved me some money. My water pump was broken and was the cause of the water leakage. Very easy to remove and replace. Thanks again for the vid..

  • Thank you MIke !

  • Thanks Mike,I save a lot of fixing my washer machine only expend $20 bucks !

  • Thanks,

    great help

  • it´s easy I make things like that

  • I thank you so much for making the washer repair so easy. I was able to access my washer's pump, drain the tank, and identified my baby son's sock in the pump. After removing the sock and putting everything back together, the machine worked like a charm. You are a tremendous asset to the youtube community. Keep the videos coming!

  • got it fixs..thanks for video

  • Great video, I think my problem is actually the clutch but your video helped me diagnose the problem.

    Thanks

  • This REALLY helped me. Great explanation.

  • great video...thanks!

  • Thanks Mike! Great explanation. I was going to attempt this on my own but I'm glad I found your video. Made me much more confident I could do the repair. On a side note I just fixed a dryer belt on my neighbor's dryer while he was out of town hunting. With four kids his wife couldn't have waited a week for him to return. Never tried that before and it went well. The following day MY washer coupler went. Your helpful video was my reward for helping my neighbor yesterday :o)

  • Thanks a lot this video really helped!!

  • Great vid. Wanted to note I was able to get the motor out without disconnecting the hoses from pump. As I was doing this in the house and I knew the machine still had water in it

  • Thanks appliancemike!! Great vid. A $27 coupler and I'm back in business.

  • Great video! Make more! How to replace/ test a bad trans. or testing/replacing a motor.

  • Hi Mike,

My mother called me and asked to fix the washer if possible.

I was not sure what to do, but after doing some research and watching this

video, I got the motivation, and I was able to fix it.

    Thank you sir.

  • This was a great explanation! Thank you so much! I was able to replace the coupler without problems. The only thing left out was that as soon as you disconnect the tubes, expect a fair amount of water to come out(I should have known that though).

  • @mbrandon9

Yes, there's sometimes water that comes out, sorry about that. we do address that issue in the final edit of this video.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks appliancemike this video helped me soooooo much wonderful help!!!!!! I'm a married 34 yr old mother of 3 boys actually 4 if you include my husband LOL :) and I replaced the coupling myself !!!!! Thant involves me do everything you did in the video word for word now I'm back in biusness of being a mom by doing laundry again!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I would have been lost without your video. Now, my clothes smell spring fresh once again. You're a (social) LIFESAVER!

  • My washing machine looks exactly like this. I took out the motor the hard way, from the bottom of the washine machine. Great vid. Thanks.

  • hey Mike, You are a great help, i just saved 400 hundred bucks, my washing machine is like new. thank you so much. regard joey veeeeeeee

  • great job.. i fallow your video and fix the washer pump. you save me not to buy the new machine. thank you very much..

  • great job.. i fallow your video and fix the washer pump. you save me not to buy the new machine. thank you very much..!

  • Thank you! I think I fixed my washer! I had to have my husband help with a couple of "muscle" things as our machine is old and parts were hard to pry off. But it's spinning now. The only thing I want to know is if once new parts are installed, is there ever a chance of smelling a burning smell? Is it just tne new parts that need to be broken in? Just curious. I'll run it through a load and see what happens. But thank you so much!!!!

  • What a great detailed video No nonsense. Very well described. Gives me confidence in taking a look at this job. We have a maytag that is going slow. your video helped think about the job and what is in there.

I probably have a transmission or motor problem. Mine just slows down and makes a rubbing sound. We will see. I doubt my washer comes apart THAT well. I guess we will see.

    Thanks!!

My wife and I thought that was OUR 3 year old crying in the background :)

  • Wonderful explanation. Thank you. THANK YOU.

  • Thanks Mike!!! Was this close to buying a new washer, $500 I don't have!! Thanks to your tutorial you just made my mortgage company really happy that they will get a payment afterall. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! Piece was snapped in two, a $10 diy repair vs almost buying a new washer.

  • Nice demo Mike. Lock & Load!

  • Thank you so much! My fiancee and I fixed our washer with this video alone!

  • Anyway after using up all of my characters on my 1st comment ... Thanks! for saving us from a forever of washing our clothes at the laundromat. Or paying to much to fix or replace this one. The plastic coupler from the motor side is cracked. Now all I have to do is find out where to get that from for cheap.

  • @theapplianceman has a video that I watched AFTER yours and after already taking our Whirlpool SM 8280867 (probably the wrong number, right?) apart. The washer did sound exactly like @theapplianceman's sound on his video.

At first view ... and maybe seeing more than one of your videos, I thought our washer was similar. After taking it apart and pulling out the motor - I realized it looks EXACTLY like your video. Down to every single detail. Ours was a bit dirtier. And we bought it used.

  • OUCH Love the cut on your left inner forearm ;) Appliance service has these dangers..

People beware!!... Guillotine cut sheetmetal is SHARP !! lol

  • Thanks, Wonderful.

  • Great video! Thanks Mike. The hardest part is tapping on the new flanges (without damaging them!) Mike's trick with the socket was the key. You da man. Silicone spray might have helped.

Also, you don't need to take the hoses off. I just pulled the pump aside, hoses and all.

  • THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I can't thank you enough. Help me save money.

  • Thanks so much! Was gonna cost major money for someone to fix, and so much easier to do myself. Big props to you buddy!

  • Great Video! Very easy to follow! :)

  • This is awesome!!! Thank you a ton! Thank God for the internet!

  • Thank you so very much! My Kenmore was slightly different (console screws were on the front, under removable covers), but clearly showed me how to do it. And yes, my wife got a free mop of the floor with the surprise draining.

  • This video showed me how to easily remove the housing and now my washer is FIXED! I would hear a hum of motor when I turned it on. I diagnosed it as transmission issue but being able to get to it I just rotated it a bit and it's been working now for a few months. Gives me time to save $ to replace

  • Thank you so much for showing the world and me how to do this.

You should be declared St ApplianceMike.

My washer is better than new.

Your video was straightforward, very easy to understand.

    Thank you, You're awesome!

  • This is incredible, thank you SO much! You're instructions were so simple and clear, even this stay at home mom was able to repair my washer in no time!

  • Thanks for this great tutorial fixed a Kitchen aid washer with your help.it took me like 4 hours but mission accomplished ..Thank you very much..

  • Thanks appliancemike your video helps a lot. and a lot better than those Fee based help. I would never subcriber to any fee based stuff. Thanks again.

  • Mike, I just wrapped up a coupler change. I watched this video, segment by segment as I went. It was the perfect guide. The washer is running through a spin cycle as I'm typing this. So for a $22 part, and a little intestinal fortitude, you saved me a few hundred bucks. Thanks for making it look so easy!!

  • Thank You Sir !

  • @wharrison78 This video made my Kitchenaid washer repair SO easy. You are a gentleman and a scholar!

  • Thank you, Mike! You helped me a lot and proved that YouTube is good for more than baby videos and smut.

  • Thank you so much!!!! We had to replace the coupler, and this helped tremendously!!! Great video!

  • Thank you so much. I was able to repair my mom's washing machine for her in about 30 minutes. This video was very easy to follow.

  • Excellent - I really appreciate your efforts to help those of us who want to do our own repairs and maintenance.

    Thanks again.

  • Very nice! Thanks for sharing this info for those of us who can do repairs ourselves!

  • Amazing! This is so Cool! I am impressed and actually looking forward to the repair.

    Thanks mucho! Jeff

  • Thank you for this very helpful video. I just successfully installed a new motor coupling on my new whirlpool washing machine. I probably saved at least $100 by not having to call someone out. Your video is much more helpful than typical written instructions.

  • Perfect. I would never have figured out how to get the cabinet apart. No way it can be done from the bottom. You gotta love YouTube.

  • Wow... first time working on a washing machine. Great instructions!! Everything works like a champ!! Thanks!!

  • You rock. this made the repair of my washer so easy.

  • Thank you appliancemike for the instruction.. I was able to replace the coupler on my washing machine using your instruction with no issues. This was my first time working on a washing machine.. GREAT INSTRUCTION..

    Again Thank you.

  • Your video and tips were AWESOME thank you so much! We were going to pay someone $125 to do this, but we bought the part for $14 and saved over a $100! My fiance' had this fixed in 30 mintues because of the help of your video. Thanks again!

  • I am a single mom, and my washer broke.... I followed this video and it will cost me 15.00 Canadian to fix my washer....

Thank God for guys like you....

Truly you are a God send.....

  • ApplianceMike you saved my LIFE! I've been wearing dirty whitey tighties for weeks. Thanks bud!!!

  • you're the MAN! you just helped me fix my washer! (AFTER the repairman looked at it and said it was the "timer") thanks alot!

  • congratulations mike for you very good video, thanks for up .

    arturo martin from Colima, México

  • Perfect vide.. I tried to replace the copler from the bottom with out taking the body of the machine. you helped me out and saved me a lot.

  • You are the man Mike!

Just one comment, make sure you specify the smaller spark plug socket size. If you use the larger it will damage the coupler as it pushes on the plastic instead of the metal.

    Ciao for now.

  • THANKYOU!!! This worked a charm... You got me over here feeling like the maytag man himself... lol Thanks man saved me from buying a new machine.

  • Excellent video. You saved me time and money, Mike. Thank you!

  • Worked like a charm. Great directions and info. Thanks, the part cost less than $10.00 and I was finished in about 20 minutes.

  • great vid mike just hope you didnt upset the maytag guy and he dosent put a hit out on you lol

  • I'll add my thanks to the others. I figured I had a bad pump, but had no idea how to get the darn machine open to access it. You saved me time, aggravation, and money, none of which I have to spare. Thanks!

  • Now this was a REALLY useful video. I imagine it will save a lot of people money and also save a lot of washers! Thanks for posting it!

  • Thank you!!!! You saved me!

  • Great tips Mike! I had to do one of these and you make this very very easy.

  • Piece of Cake...thanks! ps. on the couplers with the metal middles, make sure you tap on the metal part, not on the plastic. This guy made it easy...I love youtube!

  • Well done. Appreciate a lot.

  • thank you !!

  • this video was a huge help in opening up

my washing machine... and identifying the parts.

It was agitating but NOT draining or spinning.

It was NOT the lid switch. I removed the pump-

but it back on and it worked?!? Weird.

Either way, thank you for posting this video!

  • thanx appliancemike for your insightful video, i saved alot of money by watching your video and repairing it myself.

  • Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. You saved me time and money with this tutorial.

  • Excellent video. Prepared me for the repair so well, I didn't swear once. Make sure you get the newer style of coupler with the metal inserts since they should hold up better.

  • Absolutely the best video. Bought the coupler on ebay for only $5.95. Must have saved at least $150+. The motor is pretty heavy so be careful it can crush your finger!

Do you have any video on a delonghi dehumidifier repair. Mine is dead with no power!

  • THANK YOU!!!

Perfect instructions - was fully apart in minutes & coupler clearly broken!

  • Fantastic instructions....It took me longer to pull the machine out of the laundry area to a clear area than the repair itself. Took the opportunity to clean and replace other worn parts. Coupler was $16. Total bill less than $30. New coupler has a metal insert that mates with the shaft. Old part was all plastic. If you are working on a Kenmore 80 series, the only difference from this video is that the control panel screws are in the front and not on the sides as shown.

  • This video saved me from a minimum $120 Sears service call. Turns out my problem was just one of my daughter's socks stuck in the pump. My machine was only a little different (clips instead of screws holding the console, but I eventually figured it out). Thanks so much for the excellent guidance.

  • Awesome! It cost me $5.95 to fix a dead washing machine. You are the MAN!. You're the bomb. I could not have even put the body back without you! Excellent tutorial. I saw a few and this is the best hands down. I live in NYC area and guys won't come into the house for less than $150. God knows what I saved! What can I say? You can have my old lady tonight for a while! This was great. The second time I fixed my machine from YouTube. 1st time was the agitator dogs. Cute smile too. Thank YOU!

  • Hey Mike - one more think I ran into was a couple of additional wires I had to unplug for the motor. I had two red ones so I marked one w/ a sharpie to know where to connect it back when re-assembling. You are the man!

  • Hey Mike,

Excellent video; I saved about $150 by doing it myself. Two small things I had issues with were some residual water in the pump/hoses (dealt with using a couple of towels) and the 2nd was the retaining clip under the motor needs to be in place prior to re-seating. I caught it after watching the video again but would be most helpful if you called that point out. Can't wait to brag to my buddies at work tomorrow!

  • Great!, THANK YOU!. You have saved a service call. instead allowed us to fix our washer. a few things were a lil different, our washer had a cap on the side of the motor and a plate over the back area, easily figured out and done. without your video would have been more of a challenge! $24.47 later washer from dead to live and strong as new. Thank you for taking your time and making this and saving us all money! AAA++++ Great quality no fluff straight to the point! love it!

• Thanks so much!!! I followed your video and was able to successfully change out the coupler on our washign machine and now it runs great. Thanks for this video!!!!

  • Awesome, THANK YOU! I had to work in a really tight spot, so despite a few cuss words and a smidgen of blood, it was pretty simple. Couldn't afford a repair man, so I'm so grateful for the fantastic instructions!

    I'm spreading the word....!

  • Yay!! I just fixed my washer!!! cost me $4.88. I am woman, hear me roar! lol thanx so much for the awesome vid, you just saved a single mom a ton a money!

  • gonna give this a try.... hope i can do it!

    good vid!

  • thanks mike the vidio had great instructions on how to chang it easily. john

  • Great video! Perfect instructions! Saved us a lot of money and gave us a great sense of accomplishment!

  • you just saved me a wad of cash Mike. Thanks for the awesome instructions!

  • You are a life saver. This was exactly the video I needed. My problem ended up being a footie (thin sock) lodged in the pump. It bound the motor causing it to stop spinning. With some needle nose pliers and some elbow grease I was able to yank out the footie, reassemble, and the washing machine works fine now.

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

You saved me $200 and it was so easy.

    THANK YOU!

  • this video was awesome.. saved me money and the headache of finding a repair man. Watched several times and then played it as I put all back together to make sure I did it right. Thanks Mike.. like to try to fix things myself and these made it possible, my family thought I was nuts... not now

  • thanks this video explain the whole process now my wahser works thatnks alot

  • Thanks Appliance Mike...Thanks YouTube

  • Thank you so much. Just saved us alot of money.

  • Just a heads up -- if there's some residual water in the tub, either DON'T remove the pump (you may be able to just push it out of the way), or HAVE A BUCKET ready to catch the gush of water!

Otherwise, an excellent DIY -- thank you so much!!! I bought the coupler on ebay for about $5, and that's all the entire repair cost me now!

  • @Stimpy2301

Yeah man, There is residual water, but in out redux version of this video, we address that matter.

    Thanks!

  • @appliancemike i shoulda read this comment. i had to replace my coupler and laughed as it soaked me removing the pump. otherwise, this was easy to do and the video was excellent. FYI they discontinued the coupler and replaced it (as per whirlpool's site) with a stronger metal core coupler.

  • @appliancemike

We do have a new and improved video, with music, that explains about the water issue.

  • @appliancemike please... no music.. this is good..

  • @appliancemike Thank you for the instruction.. I was able to replace the coupler on my washing machine using your instruction with no issues. This was my first time working on a washing machine.. GREAT INSTRUCTION..

    Again Thank you.

  • @Stimpy2301 .... I did get a lot of water out of the pump and hose... i don't think i needed to remove the hoses from the pump.

  • Appliance Mike & Neighbor Mike:

Thank you VERY much for posting. I couldn't afford to get mine replaced. This video helped me a lot.

  • Great Video!!!! Completed job and was able to save alot of money!!! Thanks!

  • This is also applicable to the Roper RAB4232DWO model. Like mentioned below, there are two red wires that connect to a solenoid on the motor that must be removed and reinstalled which weren't pictured on the model in the video. A great video and great help.

  • awesome. Thanks. My exact same washing machine had the coupler go.

  • Hi,

This video very spplicsble to Kenmore Canada Model 110.4563291 from 10+ years ago.

    Exceptions;

    - panel screws on front

    - was able to leave pump on as it was seized on

Problem was no spin dry and i found borken/worn peices on floor which were sure sign of cupler problem.

    Thanks Mike!

  • Awesome Video. A lot cheaper than a plumber!!! :)

  • Jeez, I wish British machines were that easy to disassemble!

  • very kind from you!!!thanks a lot for sharing!!

  • Great video, when I first look at the washing machine was worried that it was a big job and an expensive one. Watch the video, was shocked to see the machine could be taken apart by removing 2 x screws. After that, a easy job. THANKS - save me money and made the other half think I'm great :-)

  • Great video!

I had to take apart the body twice because I didn't connect the other 2 red wires to the side of the motor.

Wasn't sure which one went to which side as they dissconnect when I removed motor. Noticed they are not on the motor on this video. Wouldn't of been able to this without this great video. Nice work:)

  • Simply a well done, very informative video. Thanks Appliance Mike!

  • thanks nice video i had the same problem and i fixed it, great video.

  • excellent vid,very helpful

  • Wow, this video is amazing. I think I have the same problem, and might attempt to fix it. Great job on the video, easy and clear.

  • brilliant vid thanks.

  • Fantastic! I just fixed my washer for $4.88 (coupler on eBay w/free shipping) and less than 20 minutes of work!

Since I didn't want to deal with the water in the drain hose, I just left the hoses connected and held the pump out of the way with my foot while removing/replacing the motor.

I wish I knew what cresari1 was referring to below, because I would gladly "support" this video for $14

  • Great video, simple and clear, this was my first attempt ever to fix my washer.

    Thanks again

  • great eva

  • Excellent video, this repair even worked for our Kenmore washer. Thanks Mike

  • Awesome! Thank you so much Mr. Mike. You made it so easy...

  • Thank you so much you are a god send. I followed the instructions and was able to fix my washer at a cost of 8.95 buying a genuine part from E-bay. They also have one for 5 dollars if you want the cheaper one.

  • The video presented by Mike in the repair of my Whirlpool washer was outstanding. After watching it, I performed the activity. It went perfect the first time and best of all, the repair recommended fixed the problem. My worry is that I somehow lost the "accept block" which I think I have to press for approval of the $14.00 payment. Have Mike email me if that is the case. I am a Five Star satisfied customer.

  • thank you so much!!!! i fixed my washer for $23!!

  • Thank you for your video. It helped me fix my washer.

  • Appliancemike, Thanks for the video man, I am a big time do it yourselfer. I recently recieved a direct drive Whirlpool washer that has sat for over four years and when I turned it on the coupler broke or was all ready broken.. I'm told it worked fine four years ago. I was gona put a new one on but is there a major reason for them to break? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks...

  • Appliancemike, you rock! Thanks a million!

  • Thank you soo much! Fixed my washing machine and saved money!!! Thanks again!

  • Mike,

Thanks for such an easy to follow video! I am a 42 year old housewife. I called my repairman last week for a dishwasher recall. While they were ordering the part, my dishwasher quit draining and my washing machine quit spinning! He said $350 to replace Bosch motor and $150 to replace washer coupling. He left, I found your video, bought coupling for 18.95 and FIXED my washing machine! Thank you! I feel so proud! My husband is very impressed! Any Bosch dishwasher videos?

  • GREAT TIPS THANK YOU

  • Whirlpool still makes a huge number of direct drive washers. The factory in Clyde, OH is the largest of its type in the world.

  • great information for the do it yourselfer! excellent presentation and a very big thank you for this video!

  • so my washer isnt broken..i just happened to come across this and decided to watch..a few well put together and well explained video

  • Most appliance techs love direct drive washers. Too bad they stopped making them.

  • Thank you. You just saved me some money.

  • Mike, Thank you. I called my local appliance repair guy, and told him my washer would not always spin, it would make noise like it was spinning, but it wouldn't. He told me it would cost more to fix than it was worth. My problem was actually the clutch, but your video made it easy to disassemble the washer. Others online are using teaser videos to sell video solutions. Thanks for keeping information free and the internet more than just a place to make a buck! We should all take a lesson.

  • MIKE

You are awesome!! this is great! thank you for helping those of us who are not afraid of opening up our appliances with a little help. I will be subscribing to your channel!!!

  • Thanks for this video! I never would have attempted this on my own before. Thanks for the great video and simple instructions. I just fixed the washer and my wife thinks I'm awesome!

  • thanks mike, great video, you are the men, my washer stop spining a few days ago and motor was working so after I was checking this video I saw that was exactly the same problem I had, went today to a appliance store parts get a new OEM whirpool motor coupling for $17.25 I follow step by step your instructions it took me about 20 minutes to pull it apart and get it back together and now is working like a champ again...thank you!!!!

  • Your video was great help! I watched, I replaced, also replaced the agitator dogs. When I ran a small load, it started to make a clicking noise, (it didn't make any noises before this), when agitating. When it was spinning, it ran like it was brand new. Could I have installed the coupling or dogs the wrong way, or does it sound like something unrelated to my description of the problem? Thank you so much. Do you have videos for repairing other products also?
