sehr guter film der fast an die wirklichkeit heranreicht die innenaufnahmen vom zeppelin wahren sehr gut gemacht . schade das es den film nicht auf dvd gibt
How spectacular! Just think...One of these L 30's series Zeppelins, in 1917 (I think) made a non-strop, round trip to one of the German colonial forts in Africa to deliver emergency defense supplies.
@railadvocate It was the L59 and it didn't actually make it to German East Africa. It turned back because of a false message that Von Lettow and the Schutztruppe had surrendered. But Von Lettow was able to keep on going by looting Portugese bases in Mozambique and didn't surrender until almost a fortnight after the Armistice. He was the only undefeated German general in either of the two wars.
As mentioned in the clip notes, it's now FINALLY available on DVD through the Warner Archive DVD-On-Demand service. A bit pricey for a bare bones disc, but I've been waiting for a good Region 1 copy for years. The old pan-and-scan VHS version just never cut it.

This clip beats today's CGI so badly it isn't even funny!
