@samfisherskiller If you are referring to the 40SW in white etched in the top portion of the barrel, this is something you can do to customize your gun. Simply take a white crayola crayon or a ceramic marker and paint it in! Ben likes his that way...
@Damageinc2485 Probably to discourage people from putting their finger up there. A proper grip would wrap the weak hand index finger under the trigger guard with the others. If they're redesigns requested by the military I would imagine they instill shooting fundamentals to a lot of new shooters and don't want to encourage deviation from the accepted form.
This is a great pistol and I'm considering going with a brand new Beretta 96A1. As far as cleaning this pistol with the Bruniton finish, is Hoppe's #9 original solvent safe for use on the exterior of this gun? I don't want to ruin the finish if this type of solvent is too harsh. If Hoppe's isn't reccommended, what would be a safe but effective alternative for bore/exterior cleaning? Thank you for a great video and thanks to Beretta for such a fine firearm.
i dont understand what the difference between 92a1 and the 96a1 as far as i can tell there both exactly the same, why not just call it the 92 or the 96 ?!?!!? PLEAASE HELP its been driving me nuts!
I have a 96 inox and was wondering if the barrels are interchangeable? Would like to put the silver barrel in the 96a1 and put the black one in the old 96.
I love my Beretta M9A1 equipped with a surefire x400. i sleep with it next to my pillow. its my go to home defender and what I would use to clear my home if I need to. the accuracy of this pistol is amazing and has been 100 percent reliable so far. If I need a little extra firepower My Benelli m4 in proper military configuration and setup for 24 hour operation is right underneath my bed. My home and teenage woman are protected by Italian weapons and a part Italian sexy beast(myself).
I have a 90-two... great gun. In the future I hope to get a 92a1 and have cerakote finish to make it look like an INOX. Or I'll just go with an INOX... an accessory rail changes the looks of a pistol and kind of lowers the aesthetic appeal.
I love Beretta's Navy SEAL ad; "In enemy territory, they speak dozens of languages. Beretta is one they all understand." - Stephen "Turbo" Toboz, Navy SEAL, awarded the Silver Star, Purple Heart, and Defender of Freedom medals.
In a lot of the picture I've seen of the 92A1 it looks like the muzzle is flush with the slide. Is this the case? Or does the muzzle stick out like in the other 92 models?
never owned a beretta before i have a s&w m4506 a springfield xdm 45 a glock 23 and a 1911 series 80 i was wondering if this would be a solid buy and a good edition to the collection so any suggestions thanks
If you're a old 3rd Gen S&W guy like myself, the Beretta 92/96 has the advantage of very similar manual of arms. Your 4506 & the 92/96 have slide mounted safety/decockers. Swiping it on & off is essentially the same. The pleasing heft of the 92/96 will remind you of your Smith and Colt. I personally like the 92A1 best among current Berettas. The tiny Nano looks like a great CCW.
Beretta makes some of the finest firearms in the world. They would be a great addition to your collection.
@wildcatactual thanks but i already went with the 96A1 and i gotta say i love it your right it feels strikingly similiar to my 4506 which i love i still love my other guns but i am definately a new beretta fan thinking of a g20 next maybe followed by the 92A1 !
@berettacommunity, have put 800 round through my 92a1 since march and am now noticing the part of the frame where the lugs of the locking block sit are mushrooming down.is this a known problem to beretta?will they warranty it?love the pistol and would hate to have to sell and go with another brand
I bought the beretta 96 A1 about 3 months ago and put 500 rounds through with out a single problem. I have several other hand guns but I have to say the beretta 96 A1 is by far the one I trust the most use for it's safety and accuracy. I would recommend the pistol to anyone looking to buy a pistol.
These A1's have some great improvements, but I'd really like it if I could find a new 96 (non-A1, rail-less, and with the combat trigger guard) of the blued kind. This lack of availability is basically forcing me to buy a 96 Inox, which already cost more, just to pay yet more money just to have it professionally duracoated to a flat black. :/
I drooled watching this. I can not wait to get my hands on one of the 96A1. I love the classic models, but the upgrades they've made plus the fact that i can get it in .40 makes me want one so bad.
Man, if that 96a1 had the combat trigger guard like the rest of them. I WOULD BUY ONE. That thing is almost perfect. Combat night sights would be nice too! In fact. All the 90 series should come that way.
Great overview. I just picked up my 92A1, in 9mm, up yesterday and I'm very much looking forward to getting it out on the range and then finding some accessories for it! Very elegant piece of design.
That's a shame. I love the 10mm round but the offerings out there aren't reliable like a Beretta. Could the .45ACP PX4 like mine fire .45 Special or with some modification?
@intercooler2 - Sadly, the odds of this are not good. The 10mm is an excellent round and woefully underrated. I have run this up the flagpole and Beretta has looked at 10mm before, but with all that we need to get built for the US and world market, it just doesn’t rank highly enough.
hey, your the dude Nutnfancy was talking to!!! great job man, you really sold your company well! can't wait for that arx-160, that thing looks fucking sweet as hell
btw, any tips on dealing with the slide-mounted safety/decocker would be great. This has slowed me down during IDPA competitions, and I'm leaning more toward Glock since it eliminates that step at the range. On the up-side, I've heard of an officer's life being saved when a criminal got his duty Px4 but didn't know how to take the safety off. . .
So my barrel doesnt have the 40. In bright white, is this something that is new or old ? Or even replaced.

Since the publisher of this video took down my last post. I resubmit it:
My experience with this pistol:
1-front sight came loose after first trip to the range
2-pins fell out after second trip to the range
3-poor manufacturing of the frame gouged and left marks on the slide after firing.
POOR QUALITY BERETTA!
Not to mention all the plastic parts they are integrating into key areas of the gun.
Stop making an iconic pistol so cheaply!
briankundingerii 1 month ago
Adding to my other post, DON'T BUY ONE! Go with a quality gun maker like Sig, Kimber, Colt, or S&W.

Does your neos line have a ambidexturous magazine release? and is that a ceramic resister in the 96a1?
Madison1911R1 6 months ago
@Madison1911R1
Neos - Unfortunately, no. The Neos magazine release is only designed to be release by the trigger finger on the upper right side of the frame.
96A1 - The buffer in the 92/96A1 frame is actually aluminum.
