NaruSaku not only has an overused and overkilled "base" [there isn't even much of that] but to just have it happen is terrible development. Naruto and Sakura haven't even gotten to the physical relationship yet, and are at a point where the only thing they have in common is Sasuke's loss. NaruSaku doesn't just kill the plot, it kills the characterization and motives of both of their entities individually.
