How about the soldiers of the world...German Storm Trooper, Japanese Soldier, Russian Soldier, British Soldier, Austrailian Jungle Fighter, and I think a French Soldier. The uniforms and equipment were so realistic it was just unreal.

How many of you kids, when you got to sixth grade and lost interest in your GI-Joe's, had the final battle and shot up your toys with bb guns, sparkler flame throwers, and Blackcat motar shell's? I did. That is why I don't have any GI-Joe collection to sell or trade today.

The old stuff is awesome, with the gearpacks, we don't have that anymore, if you wanted another costume you had to buy 2 different figures, my dad was a green beret and he got an old green beret Joe with a M16, Colt pistol, combat phone, and green beret medals.

@Richtofer556 Cool man :) I was born in the 90's and I still have all my Joes in a closet. I have some cool stuff, but when my dad was a kid he and some of the stuff that is worth a lot now. But they all got sold at a garage sale a long time ago :( I have a box filled with all kinds of guns and stuff and I even have a jeep :) Ah memories.

Joe ruled, that's all there is to it. Every Christmas, my Grandmother used to hook me up with all the coolest G.I. Joe stuff. (RIP Nana - 1/31/73) I liked Captain Action, Action Jackson and Big Jim, but Joe was a bigger part of my life. Besides, I don't think they have Captain Action or Big Jim collectors conventions anywhere, do they? You can get them at conventions, but no conventions exclusively for them exist, or am I wrong?

Now these were toys worth the money and time! Used to set up battle scenes and have a blast. (no pun intended). Remember the deep sea diving set? That set was just COOL as hell! How about the soldiers of the world...German Storm Trooper, Japanese Soldier, Russian Soldier, British Soldier, Austrailian Jungle Fighter, and I think a French Soldier. The uniforms and equipment were so realistic it was just unreal.

Great memorabilia. In Puerto Rico there is a GI Joe Club, making presentations around the island in Malls and on Veterans Celebrations. My favorites are 1964-70 Medical Teams.

I still remember those commercials, and getting my first GI Joe way back in the 60s. The ones my son played with in the 80s were not nearly as durable or versatile. Among my brothers and my friends, the Deep Sea Diver suit was coveted the most.
