  • A Texan long?i thought those guys were rare.

  • definitely don't wanna get bucked off and come over the front...yikes!

  • Wow such a pretty color! What breed is he? Has he been castrated?

  • Wow, that's so cool! I love cows!:D

But I really don't understand how you dear to deal with a cow with such horns! o.O

    but cuuute :'D

  • Woah, what a great cow!!:o

  • @anneloveanimals I don't think that's a Cow.

  • @wanaraz

A male cow? I don't know what it is.. i'm from holland;)

    Bull maybe?

  • @anneloveanimals It's important to know if it's a Bull or a cow. Then you will know if you have to RUN or walk. LOL

    Holland does not have Bulls?

  • @wanaraz haha.. yeah that's rigth!:P

Yes holland has also bulls not so many.. more for slaughter...;s

    x

  • @anneloveanimals 4 million cows in the Netherlands. Population 16 million. I cow for every 4 people. Get to know your Bulls. LOL

  • @wanaraz hahaha, you're right...XD

  • ive always wanted a cow, mainly an ankole , what breed of cow is he? hes so lovely!

  • look at the clown stabbers on him lol jp but you both look good its a nice lil video

  • What a handsome boy! I know this video is a bit old, but I'd recommend making or getting a really padded "soft saddle" or riding pad. You're sitting right on his spine, which can't be comfortable for him. Great video :D

  • @S0XF0X

I dont think the behemoth even notices lol

  • Adorable! What a gorgeous steer! What breed? (I noticed the brindle coloring). I note you're using a hackamore, you've clearly taken time to train him well, seems like he remembeered pretty well too.

  • sit on its neck and hang onto the horns, you wont hurt him cus hes strng enough to hold you and its fun, try it and make a vid so we can all see it for real x

  • What breed of cow is this?

  • cool lucky cow ha wish she was riding on my back ha ha

  • I always wanted a horse....... Although i think i have just changed my mind!

  • i think i would wear a helmet and face mask around those horns.....

  • cows: 'you have something on your back'

    lol

    Good effort!

  • he's BIG! And how do you even train a bull? The same as a horse only taking more time or what?

  • he is adorable... i wanted to buy a friendly steer I did some ground work with at a barn where we boarded but we didnt have our own farm back then but one day we will have another harvey!

  • I've always heard bulls are dangerous and unpredictable, kinda like a stud. even if they seem good something could happen. so are long horns easier? I've always heard of people riding them?

  • Soooo cute!

  • what a lovely color he is!

  • the other cows are like ... umm what she doing ,,, :) love it i wonna do this !!

  • .. with those horns, I hope he doesn't try to buck or tend to get an itch away while you're on his back xD

Pretty weird to see that it actually is able to train a cow or steer to let you ride him or her :')

Must be different than horses, donkeys or mules xD

  • My 8-year old daughter wants to do this. We're going to buy a calf in the spring, Lord willing. Any advice?

  • @2005ndcstudent

Calfs are stronger than they look and could be very stubborn ;)

Keeping a cow is also not cheaper than keeping a horse. A calf/cow has to live in a herd too!

So better rethink and wait a couple of years- except you want to ride too :) But you have to be very patient because cows are not that quick!

  • I've always wanted to do this (:

  • Nice looking bull, clearly you've done a good job socializing him to people....nice temperament.

  • at 1:54 the lady cows were lookin

  • hehe COW-girl :P

  • beautiful steer i love them,i ride horses i have a big leapared appaloosa and a lil year and a half year old baby she has a blue eye <3 i sat on a cow once , mabye if i get to raise one i'll teach it to ride like i am the baby

  • I guess this is what rednecks do when they get really, really bored?

  • Oh my gosh how cool lol

  • ouch that spine looks painfull

  • Look at the cows stare at them funny.

  • how long did it take to train him?

  • I wanna steer...and i wanna ride it!

I'm so jealous, this is cute!

  • Beauitful :) can you tell me, how it is to ride a cow ? :) I just ride horses and.. well.. i really want to know, how that feeling is, on a cow ? :D

  • Do you use just a horse hack? Or did you modefy it for him?

  • AWESOME!

  • haha the other cows/heifers/steers are like what the hell!! :P

  • wow.....never seen a bull bein "ridden" before! lol !!!

  • the first I have seen without those nasty rings pierced through their noses to steer, thumps up!

  • Beautiful steer, you obviously love your cows and care a lot about them. Good video! -two thumbs up-

  • HOw do you train him?

  • this is so adorable <3

  • Was it difficult to train him? I imagine he must have been trained with a gentle attitude to make him so kind.

  • He's absolutely beautiful! <3

  • That is awesome. =)

  • OMG this is so cuteee!! :) i never u could ride steers! im a horseback rider and i know like theres a bunch of animals people could ride but i never knew u cud ride steers! this is adorable! and your steer is so cute! i just love this video!<3

  • wouldnt want to stop suddenly and fall forward onto those horns lol!

  • this is pretty badass, i've got a mare or two that aren't broke that well ha

  • That's awesome. I love the way you tied your lead rope to his horn. LOL That's handy...

  • hehe my last name is chevalier and my nick name is chevy

  • what a nice longhorn yah got! lol just sat there waiting for you to get up :D

  • I rode a steer!!!!!!!! It bucked me off! I stayed on for 8seconds tho!

  • smile.....

  • Steers dont like being ridder - they just get so embarrased!

  • i like how you don't pull him around by the nose ^-^ awsome!

  • what kind of hack more do you use ?? All i could find was a horse hack more and i really want to be able to ride my long horn steer once he gets bigger

  • @SnakesAndCupcakes just use a horse hackamore, make sure it is large enough though.

  • How old should a steer be before you start to ride him?

  • that must be one nice bull

  • @09meandmyhorses ok lol..... then that is one nice steer

  • @kristian0gallops HAHA! =)

  • that is awesome

  • He's so beautiful! I want a Chianina Steer really bad

  • you need to ride him morer!!!!!!! lol hes pretty! ddi you train him???

  • awesome. i enjoy riding texas long horns. what is he?.

  • where did ya get the bridle???? is it just a horsey bridle?

  • Aw! Mr Cutie! XD How old is he?

  • My science teacher used to ride his texas long horn bull. He stopped after the bull accidentally speared him in his thigh with his horn when he went after a fly.

  • I WANT A STEER I CAN RIDE!!!!!!!!!

  • What a cutie :D I love how he just stares off into the distance when you're trying to get on haha

  • He's lovely!

  • Wow Chevy is allot bigger then your last video. He is so prettty ;)

  • hes a BIG boy seems like a big teddy bear though

  • Haha omg I cant believe how big his horns are...I'd chicken out!

  • Wow he's grown so much! Nice to see he still rides.

  • hes huge, but soooo cute:)

  • Haha the horns are not as intimidating to be around once you trust the animal. We had a hereford holstien cross steer, and his horns were 1 1/2 ft long. but he was a big baby. You could grab his horns and everything. he was bigger than ther horse, who BTW is 16hh. Wow chev's gotten soo big. what a cutie.

  • awhh hes soo cute!

its nice to see videos of him again

when you gonna get him on barrels again?! lol

  • lol!! hes huge!

  • guts woman! you have guts! Lol with horns that sharp I would have a hard enough time letting myself turn my back to him let alone ride! :S lol

Just goes to show you what a cow can really be like when they don't have one of those bucking straps/flank straps on them.

Love how the other cows are like...uhhh...what?!

  • @SmallvilleFanatic600 You know there are more women steer riders then men! That must mean us women are just more brave,LOL.

  • he has gotten soooo big!!! he is so cute!

  • he is awsome!

  • Thats so cute!

  • This is so cute! And he is a big Texas Longhorn, most of them I have seen aren't built quite as bit as him. Great video!

  • Haha! That's so cool!!

  • That's sooo

    Cool

    !!!!!!!

  • we have bulls in my back yard. way back where there aren't any horses and theres 4 i can ride and theyre amazing. i think u can ride bulls fine as long as u dont strap a rope on their groind.

  • that is awesome ... what breed of cow and what kind of bridle and bit do you use on him

  • @melissalisa123 he is a texas longhorn steer and i use a hackamore =)

  • yay Chevy! more vids of him plz?
