"super 16" was just "super" played at 16 rpm because NEU ran out of material for the lp, i.e. a highly progressive artistic statement, eh?
when we were kids, we would be doing this kind of stuff with our older brother`s singles all the time...only difference is, we never got say warner records to put out our high art version of van halen`s "eruption" at 78 rpm, now did we? ;-)
Screw Kill BIll, this is from MASTER OF THE FLYING GUILLOTINE first! Get it right! When I hear this song I think of MASTER FUNG, not Tarantino's tweaked out movie copying ass (if you know as much as he knows about movies his suck)
Dude, the entire idea behind Kill Bill was to pay homage to martial arts movies, it's why he used so many references IN the movie, Sonny Chiba (Hatori Hanzo), The yellow Game of Death suit, amongst MANY others, it was all to pay homage to the martial arts movies he grew up with, it's why the movie was so good, and won as many awards and nominations as it did.
YES! I definitely prefer the "Master of the Flying Guillotine" better, although, I did like how Quentin Tarantino used it in Kill Bill... but they only played, like, 10 seconds of it...
its only like 3 seconds of the song during a small bit during the fight at the end of Vol.1, because it was just throwing in music from Master of The FLying Guillotine, so they can burden people like me having to tell people like you this shit.
Funny thing about Krautrock - on one end - Faust - it was about removing blues from rock, on the other - Can - being more funky than James Brown, whereas in the middle, we got industrial, punk, noise, disco... you name it!
You would be very familier with this music if you ever saw Master of the Flying Guilliotine. This was basically the Master's walking and striking music.
It's such an old movie but still kicks ass! Doesn't the tournement sequence make you think the guys that made Street Fighter II watched this movie?? They even have the Indian with the stretching arms!!!!
Nice one there again kraftneu. Super 16 and Super 78 were basically B-side fillers an experimental effort to finish the second album because of the financial shortage. I think it would be considered more of a commercial suicide in terms of today's music industry. I don't know how they managed to keep recording back then. Reminds me of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Music which is another favorite of mine.
how the fuck is this by Neu!? Amazing, way ahead of their time! Didn't Depth Charge sample this?

everyone from The Fall - Throbbing Gristle and most modern indie music have done nothing more than copy NEU and don't even think about Bowie and Eno.
NEU deserve to be remembered WORLDWIDE as the most ripped off band in history.
