  • It seems like everyone who ever had a decent amount of Latin had to bring this oration in front of the class.

  • this is really good!

  • hic optimus est

  • plautus leonard...your retarded, it is actually really good. you obviously dont know anything about Cicero or the Catilinarians if you think he is too agressive.

  • @jrbanks99 can just agree... i haven't studied Latin for long but im italian and i undestood text well gg ajquidlat

  • M TVLLIVS CICERO SALVTEM DICIT PLVRIMAM

MELIOR ORATOR QVAM PRONVNTIATOR VT LONGITVDINES POSSENT RECTAS ESSE.

    l

    KALENDAS IVLIAS

  • Well, it's excellent!!! But you should have slowed down and faced the audience at "O Tempora, o mores." Remember, C. was very mature and a consul for this speech...I wish you much GRAVITAS! Bravo!

  • Goooood.

  • Ego etiam feci pelliculam. Vides, si optime es!

  • Salve tibi! Feci Latinitatis pelliculam quoque!

  • Etiam id est Catilina, non Catalina.

  • bonus. tuus laudas

  • I LOVE this speech and I learnt almost the half of it - as you did -by heart (until "Potestne tibi haec lux, Catilina, aut huius caeli spiritus esse iucundus, cum scias esse horum neminem, qui non sciat te pridie Kalendas Ianuarias venisse in comitium cum telo.. ok ..")

It's a pity you don't have the whole first paragraph on video, I'd like to hear you say "Fuit, fuit ista quondam in hac re publica virtus!"

  • Hi! For a long time I was looking for latin here on youtube, finally I found what I wanted!!

I really like your performance of the beginning of the first Catilinarian! You do it with the right expression! :) Was that a show or did you do it at home for the video?

  • Hahaha thanks so much! Uh nah, as stated it was for a Latin project :P I just shot the vid in my school auditorium haha

  • @PlautusLeonard Yeah, I agree.

  • Excellent performance and excellent Latin. The emphasis is really fitting!

Te bene Latine loqui arbitror !

  • Bene! But you could've done better with less walking around. An oration was usually done with much less walking that what you had done.

  • Hahaha yeah well, I was kinda cramming this one and I hadn't really mastered the excerpt so I was tense lol

  • Maxima Bonus!
