I think I remember seeing this crash with my grandparents.. I was like 3 or 4 years old back then, but that crash I think was the first crash I saw, so I've remembered it since then.. xD
@peterdaviesracing Your absolutely correct, my bad. I should have also noted that the Jordan was running a Honda engine which is the engine they had in 98. In 97 they had Peugeot engines. It just looked like it had slicks and I reacted without thinking. Again, my bad.
No problem. If it had been some years earlier, it might have been even more difficult to find out. Scuderia Italia cars looked like Ferraris from far, as example...
Btw: Two teams swapped engines that season. Prost had Honda and wanted a French engine(Peugeot) ofc, and Jordan was using Peugeot engines, but wanted Honda as they stopped supplying Prost. So Alain Prost could finally throw Nakano out of the team, as he was there because of Honda. Nakano then drove for Tyrrell in '98.
I just took a look and you're absolutely right. Takagi was driving for Tyrrell in their last season before they became BAR.
One bit is still wrong: Nakano didn't just disappear, he drove in '98 too, for the Minardi Team.
As I said, after Mugen-Honda wasn't the engine supplier anymore at Prost, they threw him out, and being 1 season at Minardi didn't help him, he then left for the States, driving CART.
True, but the Minardi days had it's charm too. Every year people were wondering if Minardi would find the finances to survive and they had no financial resources, but they managed to keep showing up. And they had some good drivers, Fisichella, Trulli, Alonso, Webber and everybody loved it when Minardi actually scored a point. Like in 1999, where they scored points with Gene, while BAR with all their money and with Villeneuve remained pointless the whole season.
Sadly, I wasn't around to watch F1 in that time, so I never actually saw Martini do those things. I should've mentioned him though, he might've been the most iconic Minardi-driver of them all.

Ralf Schumacher is the worst racing driver of all time. He was only in Formula One because of his older brother. Ralf Schumacher is the proof of what is wrong in the motor sport.

His teammate Hill was disqualified for having an underweight car. Jordan had a bad run for the first half of '98.

Slick tyres? That cannot be 98. It must be 97.

I know '97 cars.
This isn't one. The rules changed and the cars were made smaller.
Besides: There's a Williams crossing the picture with a Winfried livery.
In '97, Williams were blue with Rothmans as sponsor.
So definately a '98 Williams. Which means it's the '98 season.

@CaboArmorKing Reminds me of the old joke "What's the difference between BAR and a cocktail stick? A cocktail stick has two points!

@CaboArmorKing What about Martini, the man who got Minardi's only front-row start, their first point, and led the 1989 Portugese GP for a lap.
