I thought Ciofi was a beautiful revelation when she first came on the scene, but here in 2006 she is sounding worn in patches. Like many nightingales born with a dramatic soul, the light voice doesn't stand up the pressure she wants to put it under to make her theatrical effects. That said, she is better than most! 4/4

As usual, I find her facial position disturbing, and her acting frentic and overdone. The voice sounds pretty driven and unfocused. Also,the high notes aren't very secure or attractive.
