Also, that bridge that connects The Great Delving in Moria with the Silvertine Lodes, with the purple crystals and the giant statues carved in stone... breath-taking.
Blizzard and activision can go fuck themselves,Turbine and Codemasters gave us this clearly superior game! but even though its my favorite mmorpg so far,i still think TOR will be a better game,but thats mostly cuz i am a star wars fan,fully voice acted and such stuff that bioware managed to add
On long journey's I love to zoom the camera right in so It feel's like i'm rely there :) The scenery in LOTRO is just amazing! The graphic's team are legend's :P
i do have too say this game does look great. but some games look alot better. also if you look closly at the detail on npc's they don't look very good. also somethimes there are places that look nicer then others. and the waterfalls could be done alot better. last thing is that i spotted some things that were misplaced and unfinished. (like floating stuff and things put in places they don't belong.) just giving you a heads up the graphics are ageing!

I only played a trial of lotro but it had by far the nicest players in any online game I've played. I hope that being f2p doesn't effect the playerbase too much..
That being said I have tried some free asian mmos and the players are no worse than in WoW.
amazing vid m8..music to match as well.i think that in some respects f2p will help the game..it seems to be helping in the states..goin f2p is a great advertisement for the game as well..it may also attract the peeps you dont want as well.so i suppose you have to try to balance it. this game should run til 2017 as well , thats how long they hold the licence for.

@AlexRider001 There's actually not as much difference between DX9 and DX10 at the end of the day, bar a few minor graphical effects.
If you've ever seen Crysis running at full whack (Full graphics can be forced, minus a few minor effects under DX9 on Windows XP) you'd know what I mean.
An upgrade to DX11 (which I hear Turbine are working on) could really make a difference in the graphical quality as far as textures go. Just go and find the Nvidia "Island" demo on here to see what I mean.
I am a wow player and have been playing it for 3 years. Im starting to get really sick of it and im on the search for new mmo's i tried aion and i loved it but I just felt it was way to grindy. For lotro... are there lots of quests, instances, and pvp to do? Is it full of content? because i love the whole storyline of lord of the rings. Used to be a real lotr fanatic a few years back.

@Pompelipom33 there are a TON of mobs and the amount of players really depends on the time of day...also this is low level zones which have been kind of empty for awhile....you start seeing a lot more people the higher up you get

Already Lotro is soon going to be offering a Cash shop where players can spend real money for in game items, and personally, that's the last straw for me when it comes to playing lotro. It's all just a bummer, being that lotro is pretty much my favorite MMO.

Ehh..I've played wow on and off, since the release. WoW get's boring once you've 'experienced' all it has to offer. Nothing is new anymore, and all the new content is ..well...very predictable and even sub-par additions, due to it's large and loyal fan-base.
It was perfect how it was in original imo. But...there is such a thing as 'way too much' content. And blizzard, sure knows how to copy paste, just with a different name. (sure they make things a littler prettier, but that's about it..)

This game community is far the best yes. The great landscape (you could draw a painting with em!), the story driven driven gameplay, the wonderful music, great graphics. I was speechless when I played.
All actual in game footage, there are plenty of NPC's walking around in certain areas of towns, shops etc. But you wont see many walking around the wilderness O_o
My family all tried LOTRO. Four adult males, two females, multiple kids... we just could NOT get into this game depsite the phenomenal grphics. The one common complaint we had - the world seemed lifeless. No birds, animals, NPC inhabitants... or few at best... we got bored. And the communiy was very 'cliquey' so few friendly casual interactions. Great game, great graphics, good crafting - damn boring world.
One of the things I love about this game over others is the fact that there is so much life going on around you.
Clearly you did not play this game very long. And the community in Lotro is one of the best communities I have encountered in any MMO I have played. And believe me, I have played a lot.
@Argordon ive been playing for more than 2 years and this is the problem i have when i keep coming back. not enough going on (yes everyone wow is way worse) and im just bored to death. I cant spend 15 a month to walk around occasionally.
I consider to start play this game again. The graphics are truly stunning and the gameplay was decent. Ofcourse there was a lot that could and can be improved, but it was still playable.

This is by far the best MMO i've play and i been playing MMOs since '98 'till today and this game its just amazing, everything in this game i'ts beautiful from graphics to the music, from game community to game content, there is so much to do in this game , it's not like other MMOs where you hit lvl cap and all you do it's Raid or PvP, this game as way more options for you to do,the scenes from this video are amazing but you should see the scenes later on in the game they are amazing!!!.
WoW has suckish graphics compaired to LOTRO, but they are both great games! On a gameplay scale I'd choose WoW, on a graphics scale, I'd have to choose LOTRO. =)
I'm really sad that everyone, including me, can't enjoy the nice graphics of the game. Is it really true that there won't be a fix to run LotRO on 'very high' settings with Vista 32? Makes a grown man sad it does.
LOTRO is the most beautiful looking game I have ever played period. I don't care for MMO's cause they are boring half the time but this game isn't boring ever so far and it looks fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing and I play just to see the sights half the time. WoW is okay but LOTRO is great!

LotRO actually fails in the long run. With WoW the worlds look so mediocre I remain uninspired enough to continue clicking away on a keyboard. With LotRO after one glance at the screen I want cancel my subscription, smash my computer on the floor and take a 6 month journey to New Zealand to actually experience this stuff!

Lotro has the highest amount of RP ive seen in an MMO to be honest.
If that was what you wanted you would have to roll on my server (Landroval) its been named the Unofficial Role playing server.
During the peak hours you will see players, normally in the prancing pony, RP'ing the hell out of the game. Not to mention there are plenty of RP Kinships you could join as well. Hope I helped :D

How do you record ( I know how do to a stillshot). Where does the recording go exactly? And the music, was that a youtube preapproved music selection thingy? Yeah its a special kind of horse bred to withstand and absorb physical attacks much like the nice stabbing you observed in the video.
Though it wasn't a direct attack, it still shows the great resilience of the horse.

One of the things I love about this game over others is the fact that there is so much life going on around you.
Clearly you did not play this game very long. And the community in Lotro is one of the best communities I have encountered in any MMO I have played. And believe me, I have played a lot.

I consider to start play this game again. The graphics are truly stunning and the gameplay was decent. Ofcourse there was a lot that could and can be improved, but it was still playable.
Just ordered a new computer, so ultra graphics incoming!

This is by far the best MMO i've play and i been playing MMOs since '98 'till today and this game its just amazing, everything in this game i'ts beautiful from graphics to the music, from game community to game content, there is so much to do in this game , it's not like other MMOs where you hit lvl cap and all you do it's Raid or PvP, this game as way more options for you to do,the scenes from this video are amazing but you should see the scenes later on in the game they are amazing!!!.

WoW has suckish graphics compaired to LOTRO, but they are both great games! On a gameplay scale I'd choose WoW, on a graphics scale, I'd have to choose LOTRO. =)

LOTRO is the most beautiful looking game I have ever played period. I don't care for MMO's cause they are boring half the time but this game isn't boring ever so far and it looks fantastic. The atmosphere is amazing and I play just to see the sights half the time. WoW is okay but LOTRO is great!

just can't uderstand if ppl like WoW more why are they watching LotRO vids... ¬_¬ and btw... i play LotRO for more than a year now, have 3 lvl60 chars and never get bored of it... u always can find new challenges and u can always do something new! It depends only on the ppl u are playing with! I have some really ncie friends in the game and we always do something fun! There's never a boring day and i play a lot, believe me :P so dont write about WoW under LotRO vids plz... just no reason imo

LotRO actually fails in the long run. With WoW the worlds look so mediocre I remain uninspired enough to continue clicking away on a keyboard. With LotRO after one glance at the screen I want cancel my subscription, smash my computer on the floor and take a 6 month journey to New Zealand to actually experience this stuff!

Lotro has the highest amount of RP ive seen in an MMO to be honest.
If that was what you wanted you would have to roll on my server (Landroval) its been named the Unofficial Role playing server.
During the peak hours you will see players, normally in the prancing pony, RP'ing the hell out of the game. Not to mention there are plenty of RP Kinships you could join as well. Hope I helped :D

How do you record ( I know how do to a stillshot). Where does the recording go exactly? And the music, was that a youtube preapproved music selection thingy? but i think you should have done high moor in the troll shores, i took a screen shot of me on a peak in highmoor lookign over the trol shores, it was breathtakling.
and you should have done either misty mountains or forechel.
