Lol! i have a 2500 Cummins that i work with, great work truck(when its running). Powerwise there is no comparison the powerstroke is much stronger although the both tow equally. The powerstroke runs low 13's as it sits and my Cummins runs high 14's with a smarty stacked with a Edge(see my other vids). My Cummins-3 injector pumps, god knows how many lift pumps, 3 transmissions, etc,and less miles than my Powerstroke... so dont start with me. I actually HAVE the two to compare.

@NOSJNKY Hmm my 08 powerstroke is slower than my 06 cummins and there both stock.As witch one has the better motor cummins all day every day never had a problem with mine cant wait for my dpf/cat delete though.

@svt89 The twin turbo 6.4 in your '08 Powerstroke should run circles around the Cummins(even stock) Tune both and its no comparison in speed. BUT I do know that the Cummins will tow as well or better than the Powerstroke in stock or modified form. My Cummins isnt close to my 6.0l Ford as far as speed goes but will tow just as well or better(both tuned with 4" exhaust). BTW the DPF delete coupled with tuning will make it whole different truck!

@svt89 I run a SCT tuner with custom tunes from Quick Tricks Diesel (formerly DJs Diesel Performance).Innovative Diesel also has great tunes for the 6.0l-6.4l. A co worker has a 6.4l with tuning and DPF delete and its VERY impressive. The DPF delete really opens up the "high RPM" range on the 6.4l so that should put you where you need to be. Good Luck.

I have a couple of older ford diesels, '89 non turbo 7.3 and a '02 7.3 Powerstroke. Both sound like my John deere tractors!lol!..but aint nothing wrong with that!

I myself prefer the whistle but to each his own.

you splice one of the wires going to the turbo and make a switch in the cab so you can turn it on and off. It can't be done on the 7.3L.

Yeah HUGE difference over the"over the counter" tuners. DJs tunes were VERY aggresive I still have them and use them everynow and then. Good luck and keep Smokin'!

Definately the only way to go. My buddy and both did them at the same time(using custom tunes from DJs Diesel performance). His truck('06 F250) went from a 14.20 with the Edge(maxxed out) to a 13.50 with the SCT. I ran a 13.40 on my "street" tune. I dont have any times on my "race" tune or nitrous(125 shot). The SCT(with custom tunes) tunes the tranmission so it will actually live, most tuners do not(ie: Edge and Banks). Certainly worth the money, less than $500 with lifetime custom tuning.

No studs...YET! But I know the day is coming! EGR is deleted. Nitrous is a Home-Made single solenoid dry kit plumbed into the intake elbow, very easy/simple setup.
