  • i have the rat5 and it doesn't have that problem...

  • And by the way, nice review. You are doing what I want to get into at some point. Good job man :D * I just ordered my RAT 7 from dell $77. :D * cant wait till tuesday

  • @AdamantForce Thank you we appreciate that. Glad the video helped out. We just do it as a hobby always looking for new products to test out. Not a bad deal give us feedback when you can. - Joey

  • but also you can see that his machine has a bit of latency delay. from the looks of it i would say hes running at 35fps. anything under 200fps is not responsive enough

  • @AdamantForce This is emulation for ps3 that is input delay. But the product itself has a delay after lifting 1mm before it starts tracking or even responding again. Madcatz confirmed this issue is with the exactmat. This is 60fps. I pc gamed for years from 60 to 120hz I wouldn't say anything under 200 isn't responsive enough.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET Ok I could tell that it was a tiny bit off. And yes I too was limited to a 60mhz HDTV for a while, but recently I acquired 3 20" LCD flats rated @ 220mhz (from work, shhh!) and boy, does it make a difference to me. Things, "feel" faster. I know its not common, but I notice the systems micro-stutters more than others. ( i know about the eye only recognizing around 30-40fps. I just got a 1st hand experience of high-fps gaming with no screen tearing. (Love it!) :D

  • @AdamantForce you are so full of shit :L anything under 200 FPS is not responsive enough :L The difference from 40FPS to 500FPS is nothing, no visual difference at all. But i know your going to argue so i will just let you believe what you want.

  • well i just ordered the white R.A.T 7 and it seems as thought they have fixed the tracking on it

  • my question is how do you expect you mouse to turn for you when it's off the mat????

  • @oxmate My 6 year old optical mx518 is moving right now and its over 1/4th of an inch off the mat. Just an observation if say some people like using very low sensitivity they may have a habit of picking up the mouse to move it continues to track.

  • the mouse is really choosy on the mouse pad you use

  • Your RAT is broken... mine doesnt do this at all.

  • @SpamBanjo According to the people who made rat7 admit it is a known problem with the material of the exactmat and their mouse.

  • @SpamBanjo "The mouse will stop tracking when you lift it more than 1mm - this is

absolutely intentional so that you don't get any unwanted tracking." - richard neville MadCatz makers of rat7

  • Comment removed

  • @TEAMGODdotNET My RAT 5 does stop tracking at 1 mm height as well, but it returns to normal operation at once when you put it back on the ground. In the vid it is suggested, that it has like a second of recovery time. That would imply that your device is broken.

  • @FlashEF Yea but according to madcatz this is normal.

  • @FlashEF My rat 7 did this, as well as my razer mamba (not 2012, i dont have the new dual 4g sensor system) on the rocketfish black and red dual sided mousepad. On a standard cloth mousepad (steelseries qck ) both mice perform fine. Id say its not so much the mouse is faulty, as much as a single mouse isnt meant for every mouse pad out there. Im glad this happened, as ive grown to absolutely love cloth mouse pads anyhow.

  • @SpamBanjo YES IT DOES mine does too... its only with hard mouse mats like razer vespula.

  • And for those of you who have had many Gamine mice, in a COMPARISON, which have you liked the most. I don't mean which one you guys THINK is the best only because you have it. I'm talking about you've had 3+ mice, which was the best?

  • @WontBSilenced mx518, G500 maybe a tie for 2nd with the rat7,deathadder,g9x, razer boomslang sucked, Razer viper sucked etc... Most razer products I have had broke the same month I got it. Mx518 is still going strong 5-6 years later.

  • Comment removed

  • I have the same problem with my rat 7 contagion.

  • is it a problem with every rat 7 mouse with the lifting thing or just that 1 ? :/

  • @antonstenholm All with the exactmat according to their tech support something with the material of the exactmat and the rat 7 does not mix well... I still can't believe they make a mouse that is picky on what surfaces it's going to perform on. Sad even the old ball mice will work on all surfaces I used so it's off putting considering the price it shouldn't have any conflicts on any material of any mousepad.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET There is no problem with my R.A.T.7 mouse, Its the best mouse ive ever had! :)

  • R.A.T. > razer

  • @mihailo343 Logitech > RAT+Razer...

  • R.A.T. Is making razer his bitch

  • @mihailo343 Razer is just a hyped product every razer I ever owned broke within months and sometimes days. My logitech has gone now over 5-6+ years no problems. My rat7 I found a problem the first day of having it. Stick to other pads it's probably good and it looks cool laying on your desk but logitech still is #1.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET But it looks sooooo cool ... i have rat 3 one year now ...

  • @mihailo343 Yea it is easily the baddest looking mouse on the planet.

  • you my friend are a fucking retard and you dont know a good mouse when you see one

  • @thewebuser1 Glad a mouse isn't for looks... If it goes by looks RAT 7 wins... But =) while you are looking at your mouse and admiring it... My old sleeper mx518 is putting the screws to ya =).

  • The R.A.T 7 is better than the other mouse on the left

  • @Shut6000 on paper yea I agree. Obviously on the exactmat ... Not so much.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET It is broken .... my one is totally fine ...

  • @Kaeden728 Thank you man I have to pick up one of them pads. Right now I'm trying to tackle the best gaming TV with the least amount of input lag... I just dropped $900 on a d6000 Sammy now I gotta try to compare it to a 42 Panasonic plasma st30. I just hate the picture quality on game mode for the lcd's on console. Bad enough console graphics just don't compare to pc so further hit with game mode... I gotta get that pad though.

  • @Kaeden728 I kinda like the control side of the vespula and I wish I could try the steelseries 4hd I may have to pick it up. You have one? How do you like it? Looks like it is getting all good reviews on amazon.

  • A review of the review: The Reviewer focuses on a non issue for the majority of the video while testing the mouse with a competing brand's mouse pad.(which is not optimized in any way for the mouse, and the developers have no obligation to make compatible with.) He then tries it on a different mouse pad where it has excellent performance, and then finally puts it back on the competing brand's pad once more and continues complaining. This review is worth 1 out of 10. P.S. I use G9X so not biased.

  • @SpeckyNation So you are saying rat7 shouldn't work on a razer pad? That = Fail... A 6 year old mx518 has no issue working on any mousepad over the course of 6 years... Your argument = pointless you wasted my time and anyone elses time reading your nonsense. Rat7 should only perform on their pads? Do you realize how ignorant that sounds? Thank you =) for posting I needed a laugh.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET No, I was saying that one company does not have to make their product compatible with a competators product. I actually decided to check out my friend's RAT 7 earlier today, since I was intrigued. It had perfect response on every surface we tried it on. You're obviously biased towards Razer. It's ok, haters gonna hate.

  • @SpeckyNation Dude it's a mouse surface... Not some high tech gadget... This mouse can't perform on a piece of plastic that doesn't make you say WTF? When a 3 dollar mouse can work on most if not all surfaces the $80 rat7 fails to do? Yea fanboy = fail. I hate BS and that my friend is BS no matter how much you wanna put perfume on it it's still $#IT. That's the bottom line don't be in denial.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET Seriously though, you should take your video down. It's kind of a joke.

  • @SpeckyNation You are redundant.

  • i think its epic that you compare my old mouse to the one i want to buy :D

  • @Alexanderdanice :D mx518 owns

  • @TEAMGODdotNET what do you think is best ? i have the razer goliathus extended xl cloth mousepad and i cant figure out to keep my mx518 which just rounded 3 years or a new R.A.T 7 because of the pinky rest :)

  • @Alexanderdanice I would say try it you might like it. I just didn't like that coincidentally the one mousepad it doesn't perform on I happened to have... My mx518 for the last 6 years+ never ever had an issue on any surface. Not to mention drawing straight lines on the mx518 vertical and horizontal were dead on straight no jaggy. With the rat 7 it was impossible to keep a straight line maybe cause it picks up every imperfection in the mousepad... Maybe too sensitive.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET well there is alot of imperfections on this particular mousepad because its the control edition :) so i think it will work out better when its made for control and it doesnt mean anything if its straight :) i mostly play bf3 and in that i dont think a straight line or a non straight line would help :) actually flying jets it would be a + to only being able to draw straight lines :D im gonna buy this tomorrow and within a week ill report back to you how its going :)

  • @Alexanderdanice I did the line test on the speed side it's very smooth. Very cool even on the vespula speed side it just couldn't hold a straight line. BTW worst mousepad I ever owned the speed side wore down faster than any mousepad I ever owned with just light pc use.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET thats why i have control and the goliathus :D

  • Change that Razer exactmat, i have the same mouse (R.A.T. 7) and the mousepad for that mouse is not working so well. Use RAZER DESTRUCTOR WHITE and then you can love the mouse

  • It's got nothing to do with DPI, DPI is polling. It's the laser itself, or even the mousepad.

  • Sadly though, I'm getting a Rat7 Because Logitechs software SUCKS

  • Comparing it to that mouse is silly considering the RAT has duel lasers that when their not in sync they do no track. The logitech mouse you have there isn't dual laser, also I think what might be happening as some mouses can track when their very so slightly off of the desk, whereas this mouse doesn't, so it only tracks when its on the table giving you the feeling of it lagging.

  • @Dawzy12 The aimon pc and console mouse has dual lenses laser and has no problem tracking at an even higher distance. This is a problem as stated by the people at madcatz as an issue with their mouse and the exactmat. The rat7 does not do this on the vespula or a cloth surface so the dual laser theory doesn't apply.

  • The problems with lifting on the Rat 7 are from the dual optical sensors on the bottom. They get upset when they aren't perfectly aligning on a surface.

  • mine dont do that i have a rat 7 =) hope it treats you well though...

  • Definitely not a Counter Strike mouse.

  • How did u get that mouse to work on your ps3 copy blops

  • @BIGBALLER102290 Eagle eye adapter or Xim3.

  • You have both my old warn out mouse and my new RAT 7 that is on its way to me =]

  • @jacobcake Love the exactmat just got a rocketfish pad that is similar and only 13 bucks really good also.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET Awesome, might have to get one myself!

    Thanks for the reply =]

  • in have razer deathadder and razer vespula is super cool

  • No problems with my 7 on a Razer Vespula. As I note you are as well. Minimal research would reveal this as well as the Exactmats problems with myriad other mice.

  • @Daplinksta No issues here I use many razer mice , logitechs, microsofts the only mouse we had an issue with was the cyborg rat 7 on the exactmat. My vespula has to be the worst mousepad I have ever owned even compared to a cheap 10 dollar old everglide pad. This thing shows awful wear just normal light pc use... Complete junk "speed side"

  • don't lift it then

  • @DiscoCj u mean, dont buy it then?.

  • @DiscoCj lol I know who lifts their mouse when gaming....

  • @DiscoCj you will have to!

  • even cheap mouses from office depot track when i lift it... lol

  • @TheJameziee Exactly what I said.

  • 0:04 that mouse on the left looks so ugly

  • @Killzoneify1 IT is pretty ugly but theres a reason it has been the #1 mouse for well over 5 years now. It never fails and always performs exactly how it's supposed to. Not fancy but it gets the job done =).

  • @Killzoneify1 MX518. It is one of the best for its price.

  • @9MinamiKe6 one ne mouse made by Razer it's the best for it price

  • my tracking doesnt get delayed when the mouse is lifted. i use a gigabyte ghost series extra large fabric mouse pad, i like fabric cause of the slight resistance.

  • @rich1051414 This is only an issue on the exactmat mousepad material according to madcatz.

  • Solution--DONT LIFT IT YOU DOLT! ps This is not a review its a guy bitching about a non issue.

  • @mshihadeh3 Actually since you have half a brain I'll help you understand... THE DELAY after lifting it 1mm PAUSES the MOUSE from responding FOR a SECOND... Any mouse that does that is Crap... Richard Neville madcatz "it is an issue with the ratpad and the rat7 if the mouse is lifted for 1 mm it delays tracking "ISSUE" You fail. Basically this mouse has issues with the ratpad material which is well over 1 year old. A new mouse can't handle any surface...

  • @TEAMGODdotNET Eh, yes, it is an issue, but only on a certain type of a material when lifting your mouse a lot. Seeing as how high the DPI is, with multiple DPI settings, it is an issue like tilting a cup of coffee too far. In other words: sure, a coffee cup fails next to a sippy-cup when it comes to tilting your coffee at extreme angles, but let's be honest, people who are drinking coffee aren't doing that and gamers who want a high quality mouse aren't lifting it every 2 seconds.

  • @dragonfillets 1mm is the distance when it happens this is not a lot hardly extreme.

  • @mshihadeh3 Come to think of it the rat7 looks cooler than it actually performs it can't even draw straight unjaggy lines compared to the mx518... A much older dated mouse and it still holds the top spot =).

  • Should I upgrade from my MX518 to the R.A.T. 7?

  • @islekid96 If you got the $ to blow it might be worth trying but I seriously don't think it's as good as the mx518.

  • How does the Precision Aim Mode button work? Do you ever use it? Does it work correctly? Is it useless?

  • @TheWhoDatWhoady It lowers your dpi to like 300 or something low so you can fine tune your aiming I have no use for it maybe some die hard snipers who support from far away might like it.

  • haha steel series, i got the exact same mouse pad just a bit bigger, well alot bigger lol

  • Ur headphones....like it..can u tell me theirs name plss??

  • @MyBlade78 Tritton ax pro black ops edition

  • You have input lag. Deactivate de vertical synchronization.

  • I have a Razer Exactmat, and Vespula both don't have that issue, but the mouse would stop responding vertically or horizontally at random once in a while

  • Why did he bought wireless ? omg Cable is better

  • @Nuage13 it is cabled idiot

  • @chrisisick there is a little latency

  • Comment removed

  • I just received mine today and I check the issue you're talking about and I don't have that problem. If I lift it a little bit, the cursor keeps moving. And from what I can tell now, I don't have any problem.

  • @Ashounet I spoke to them they said this is the only mousepad that has this known issue. Maybe on the rough side but the problem was too frequent to ignore.

  • is the r.a.t. 7 wireless?

  • @Mr2muchmustard rat 9 is wireless.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET great review btw

  • @Mr2muchmustardHAHAHA THERES A CABLE ON IT AND HE ASKES IF IT IS WIREESS XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @Mr11Man yea but the rat 9 has a cable and can wireless too

  • @Mr2muchmustard HAHAHA I BOUGHT ME ON WEDNESDAY A ) AND ITS ONLY WIRELESS YOU NOOB XDDDD

  • @Mr11Man there is a cabled and wireless rat 9...cabled is cheaper if im not wrong

  • @DunKayPoh yes i know man i got the rat9 but you telled it so that it sounds you think that it can do it like the razer mamba

  • @Mr11Man it was Mr2muchmustard not me who said it sound like mamba

  • @DunKayPoh oops sry :D

  • @Mr11Man no prob man

  • @DunKayPoh good ;D

  • @DunKayPoh

There is no 'cabled' R.A.T. 9, you can plug a cable in if you want, but it is basically a wireless version of the R.A.T. 7.

  • So, you can not lay your hand on the back of the mouse? (It is tippy?) Please answer, because I planned on buying one of these...

  • @Airsoft109z mx518 is palm and claw not tippy at all same with g500.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET (What is the mx518? The RAT 7? I don't know very much about computers. O_O)

  • The Rat 7 and 9 have so many issue you can read and hear all over the internet. Seem is not the right mouse to buy if you like to aboid issues.

  • so you see you lift up you'r mouse eachs 2sec ?? got the mouse myself and love it:) and again WHy Should You LIFT you'r Mouse?:S it's not like it helps you :D

  • @Manfat20009 You lift it when your on the edge of the mouse pad... lol

  • @Ryan0Ebbers oke there you got a point :P but whit this mouse you don't need when i use 1 it makes it Slower whitchs sucks

  • @Manfat20009 the mousepad makes the mouse slower? If so you're probably using one of razer's surfaces with a 1/5 or 2/5 glide rating.

  • @Ryan0Ebbers don't know i do know it's from Stealseries that's all :P

  • @Manfat20009 Oh I thought it was a razer. If its a cloth mat you should look into a hard mat.

  • only problem with the rat is the tool thats using it

  • It does it for the better, you must have no brain what so ever, but then again, you are playing Call of Duty. dumbass

also, clean your desk for fap-paper before you make a video

  • Isn't this just a problem with the Eagle Eye? NOT the mouse? or am I missing something?

Doesn't do this not using Eagle Eye at least.

  • @d3agl3uk Only issues with the e agle eye are the auto melee and auto start but showing here the rat7 doesn't work right on the exactmat. The tech support labeled that the one mousepad that it does not perform well on.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET Ok, thanks for the quick reply - Any ideas if the problem exists with the Razer Vespula?

  • @d3agl3uk No problem, I seen no issue with the vespula but vespula scratches so easy it's very fragile compared to the exactmat. Light pc use with a g500 i have lots of scratches too expensive to wear this fast.

  • Hi @TEAMGODdotNET I would like to ask You that if RAT 7 works with Vespula without problems on both sides of the pad. I had eXactMat but it was a disaster. On speed side I had exact problem as You and on control side even worse problems with tracking. Now I want to buy Vespula but already I want to be 100% sure it goes smoothly rather than pay € 30 for incompatible pad. Thanks.

  • @TheRodrigocunha Black ops ps3.

  • 5:00 top right corner.... PSN? o.O WTF!!!

  • @MaddMouz Yes lol that's how we roll on console lol. No hacks the last 3 years that I have seen so its very nice compared to pc gaming and possibly dealing with subscriber hacks. Plus last 3 years no need to update hardware pc/video/ ram etc.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET Hey, nice video. Was wondering how your playing mouse and keyboard on a PS3. I personally think that Xbox and PS3 are great consoles, but I play Xbox. So, how would I get my mouse and keyboard to work on my platform? I can't stand controllers, so I need this. Thanks.

  • @TeamR0Gu3 Thank you, I'm using multiple devices This one is Eagle eye by penguin theres also Aimonps for ps3 and AimonXB for xbox 360. The aimons do not use keyboard but half of a controller in 1 hand and a mouse in your right hand.

  • @TeamR0Gu3 Alright thanks, that rat looks nice but what your saying is true, that it doesnt work right when you pick it up, then im just not getting it. i find myself doing that to often and that will cause a major problem when gaming :( but it is a nice mouse.

  • I got my eagle eye converter yesterday and used it with a cheap rocco mouse and the result was terrible for fast movment and more importantly for micro movment , my Logitech g500 will be delivered later this week and i hope i will get better results well i just get the feeling that the deadzone with micro movment will be solved if the mouse is compatible with the mousepad you are using

  • @MRmht999 True it should be good with that mouse

  • @dmcgamingclan So is it fair people who use wheels vs gamepads for driving simulators? Use your brain before you talk please for gods sakes... AIM ASSIST and LAG = DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU USE... Anyone can kill anyone so stfu with your cheating bit. Only a loser from birth screams cheats. ADAPT your play or STFU.

  • @dmcgamingclan Only a total moron would think this is like pc aiming. Analog stick lag is nothing like PC precision. But people who are good with gamepad can kick ass it doesn't matter what you are using. Tactics and experience don't be an imbecile. You sound like the type of loser who screams cheats after getting owned.

  • I am loving the RAT 7. I am using it on Razer Goliathus Fragged Control Edition mat and it works like a dream. It has improved my gaming a good but. The on the fly dpi change button is awesome for long range shots in BFBC 2. I have heard the RAT is picky with certain dark mats. As far as drawing straight lines I also use it for Photoshop work almost every day and have no problems as far as thats concerned. If you dont mind that your mat selection might be a bit limited then this mouse is great.

  • @Adrastos34 Yea drawing straight lines using a vespula my mx518 topped this mouse on every dpi I set it to. Even at its lowest it wasn't able to draw complete straight lines like the mx518.

  • why do you even play that garbage black ops....ohh...tritons signed black ops.fanboy i presume.interesting issue there.

  • @mustakrakish53 Black ops is garbage ? It's the hottest title maybe you suck at it? Fanboy ? Nah I'm a fan of performance and sound ques and yea Tritton ax pros are #1 for this. I tried all other options astro mixamp , dss tb, etc. I found dolby simulated sound had some lost cues.

  • @TEAMGODdotNET

well, the game is best selling in 2010 but as a PC "port"sucks ass and you know it,i was pretty good at cod2,cod4 and co6.then i got blops and sold it after 2 months..fps drops, lagg and sound is awful.maybe it runs great on your pc(guys with 3000$ pc's had problems while 500$ machines ran it perfect).those trittons are 7.1 i presume like mine g35's and they are great piece of hardware.

now im hooked on bfbc2 and im never going cod again.

that exactmat really sucks with all mouses?

  • @mustakrakish53 Nah exactmat just worked bad with the RAT 7 I was just showing WTF? I used the exactmat with the razer deathadder, mx518's etc. always worked good. So now I use the vespula with the rat7 but honestly I think the rat 7 isn't as good as my mx518. I can draw straight consistent lines with the mx518 but no matter how steady I keep my hand with the rat7 at all different dpi it has jaggies. Trittons are 5.1 I can't pass judgment on your headphones since I haven't tried them.

  • This is the set-up I was planning on using, except for the eXact Mat, I have a Cyborg Gaming surface. Glad to see the R.A.T. works with the EEC.

  • Nice review. How does this mouse workswith Penguin eagle eye, comparing to other mouses? Also how is micro movements? Does it stutter when you use very high speed in the game?

  • @RedChiefAI This is excellent it just needs higher sensitivity settings than a 1600 dpi mouse. So figure a 1600 dpi needs 7/8 to be good this needed 10/13 to be as good with vertical shots. Micro aiming is great.
