i was metaldetecting around Bastenaken(Bastongne) when i got caught.

i still love going to the ardennes but then without my detector.

WARNING!!!! If the Belgium police or Forrest ranger,catches a person metal detecting in the Ardennes or the French Verdun/Somme you can end up losing your MD and a large fine.

I recived a fine of 1500 euro's and lost my Garrett ace 250,But now i have a garrett Euro ace,And still relic hunting.But no longer in France or belgium.

really ? we never seen anyone like a forrest ranger or police ?

we dont even see any people at all in the woods where we went ,we close our holes and leave everything clean behind ,we dont search verdun/somme ,is that were you got caught ,ik think that is a protected monument .

i been told that you may search with a detector in belgium ,but not specific on a archaeological site/place ...

offcourse we are lucky to be near so many battlefields,

but we never forget all the soldiers good or bad ,who fought there and lost their lives .
