  • i was shooting this gun in a firing range 2 weeks ago, and it was FUN!... but i could never shoot the middle properly cuz of recoil

  • Let me give you a quick lesson in math. Now I'm no rocket scientist - but if your at 95% reliability 5 OUT OF 100 rounds are going to jam. That doesn't happen - and if it does you should stop cleaning your gun with dirt and sand. Moron.

  • @TubesteakNikka Have you ever shot this weapon? Moron

  • Did ever killed someone?

  • @GaxBR Have**

  • What ammunition do you use with this particular gun?

  • @kicknaziass Mostly Federal. Both FML and Hydrashock

  • Good review. I have to say I'm disappointed you say it's 95% reliable; does that mean it jams once every 20 rounds? I don't have experience with the gun, but I'm considering getting one. Again, a bit disappointed with the reliability. Maybe my math is wrong.

  • @wonton00 It depends if its 95% off 300 bullets or 95 of a magasine. You know what i mean? :)

  • @maskenmakkan Lol, I am pretty sure 95% is a ratio. It doesn't change, it is constant. The more you shoot the more jams you will have, it is proportional.

  • @wonton00 After shooting different M9's I would have to bump my estimation to 98% if properly lubricated and cleaned. I think the first few I shot were just older and less maintained.

  • @usmcboyer Sure glad you bumped it up, because I just bought one last week... lol. Can't wait to pick it up on Monday (CA has a 10 day waiting period) Damn, I just love the look and feel of the gun. I know it's big and heavy comparing to Glocks and other polymars out there, but that's why I love it. Can't beat a Beretta, good enough for our Military, good enough for me. Hey and thank you for serving our country.

  • It's lighter than a Sig 226 and any 1911. Older men and petite females seem to have the most problem with the weight.

  • i have a question about the USMC? hows the salary, im not asking to be selfish or greedy, its that what ever i enlist in i need money to help my parents.

  • @GUNSDOTGOV All military branches get paid the same depending on your rank and time in service. Just google "military pay" and you can see for yourself

  • @usmcboyer oh, alright thank you, also thank you for serving our country, me and my family appreciate it

  • You guys are lucky to have guns at your country because in Australia we're not aloud any shit not even bbs. You are bloody lucky and im just 11 yrs old and i want a gun

  • longer barrel is the only thing bigger compared to G17 or P226...

Weight wise its same as P226, actually one of the lighter all metal pistols...

Glock doesn't even offer a hammer fired pistol or metal pistol...

In testing the M9 beat all offerings...

  • @BenjiREC The State Department is not covered in the Geneva Convention. DoS uses Hydra-Shock as their duty rounds.

  • shes a chunky firearm. but she works.

  • 2.15 pounds is heavy that is how much that weighs thats not that much i dont know how much other nines way but that is light

  • @HEADLESSORfIN Glock 17 is 22 ounces. I assure you, if you were carrying a 2.15 pound weight on your hip every day you wouldn't say it is light. This hunk of metal is just that... and hunk of metal. Fairly reliable and accurate, but there are better full size 9mm options by far. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey so quick question, this is the first video I've watched of you so this may be stupid..but your actually in the USMC,right? And also,if you are, hows the 2 (Or more,I have no idea yet.) months in boot camp? Do they ride you like I'm hearing they do from all my friends? Only reason I'm asking is because I'm gonna try out for the Marines when I'm 18 and I just wanna be prepared for whatever they throw at me. :)

  • @xXNekoxBoyXx Yes, I am a Marine. Boot camp is not too bad as long as you actually have your head in the game to finish. It was a little tougher when I went through than it is now, so I am a firm believer that anyone can do it. As long as you are generally in shape (sporty kind of kid at least) and can take being yelled at non stop for 13 weeks - than you can do it no problem. PM me if you have any specific Marine Corps questions

  • I have had a m9 since 1988 and have shoot thousands and thousands of round through it has never Fail in any way shape or form I love this gun and there not to pricey where I live they are about $480 to $500 compared to sigs that are $900 to $1000

  • Well done.

  • i cant decide which one too buy ....m9 2fs or sig p226 help me out guys!

  • @brandothehero i wud get m92r, but if its between the 2 i say p226. Sigs are always reliable

  • @brandothehero I would certainly go with the Sig

  • could the clip or the gun be modified so it would be less likely to jam? other than just being clean, and why would the military be using a gun that's not perfect on reliability?

  • You said that this was not a very good concealed carry weapon, in your opinion, what would be a good, cheap concealed carry?

  • @PeaceOfMindPB Any Glock subcompact. I carry a Glock 27 in .40

  • Is this spelled berretta or beretta?

  • Excellent choice for your first gun review. I have the M9 too and I love it. I subbed ya :]

  • @FateofDestinee Thanks a lot. You have a pretty awesome channel as well, just subbed you back (which I do not do very often)

  • im 14 so i got an m9 co2 bb gun its pretty cool its my first semi auto instead of my single shot daisy rifle and a 1934 red ryder

  • @adamm2247 Cool dude, keep practicing with that Co2 and in a few years get yourself a real one. Most gun users started out with BB guns, including myself!

  • @usmcboyer same here, ive shot pellet guns for a couple years now, and recently i bought my first .22, and im thinking of buying something bigger, or a .22 pistol. Any reccomendations?

  • @GIofUSA I have a Walther P22 that is awesome. Small, lightweight, very very reliable and doesnt feel cheap or flimsy like some other .22 pistols I have used. Highly reccommend the P22. I got mine for about $300 and it was worth every penny. They are pretty easy to find use for about 200-250 if the price is a problem.

  • The best instructional video I have seen, really helps me understand my 92. Clear, concise, thank you.

  • @jimkressin Some people are a little more protective of their serials because you could potentially take the serial number and make fake serial number plates and potentially use that weapon in a crime which would leave the authorities to you. It is a lot of "ifs" but most people say better safe then sorry. I only covered it because it is a government weapon, my reviews on my personal weapons will not be covered up because I am not too worried about it.

  • @usmcboyer but, if the authorities were led to you by the serial number they would find that your firearm was not used in the said crime because you would have your own pistol with the same serial and the rifling wouldn't match any bullets recovered, IHMO.

  • Hey, when you sent me a friend invite I checked out your page first and saw your Beretta reveiw, then accepted, and went to reply to this review but didn't realize it had defaulted to the pepper spray vid so I deleted it and cut and pasted it into here...which it didn't show up cuz apparently the youtube police thinks I'm "spamming" you. Sorry about that, I may be a retard but i'm not a spammer. F youtube.

  • @friskyrabbit Yeah I saw that dude, I unflagged it as spam because I saw it was legit. YouTube can get a little ridiculous sometimes, no worries!

  • I thought JHPs were against the Geneva Convention.

  • @IamaRifle Geneva Convention does not include various agencies, only the military. State Department uses JHP

  • @usmcboyer I thought you were in the USMC.

  • @IamaRifle Yes sir, I am. Diplomatic Security

  • @IamaRifle Hague Convention of 1899. Not Geneva.

  • The M9 is a pretty good handgun, even though it's not an American design like the good ol' M1911.

  • awsome gun go marines HOO RAHH!! what do u do in the corps whats ur job ?

  • Comment removed

  • Yup, 95% reliability. My own personal experience with the 92F corroborates this and from what I could tell the issue was exactly what you said, the magazine design. The pistol itself seems to be sound but you are only as good as your weakest link. All in all it's not a horrible gun or anything but there are just so many better options now a days. I think the miIitary would have been better off with glocks. I ended up getting rid of my Beretta. I have a sig and a glock now that run 100% reliable

  • @usmcboyer LOL.I didn't feel old til some 'boot' said I was in the "Old Corps".I thought "Old Corps" was pre-WW2.My first day of boot camp was 11-14-88 my eighteenth birthday was the 22nd. I made sure I didn't say anything to anyone about my birthday,no need for the D.Is to give me a 'party'.LOL. Well young'un I would tell you about firing the ole'M16A2, it even had a carrying handle.

  • @mrtlsimon see, thats what I mean about the military adopting things. I had an M16A2 with carrying handle with me in Iraq in 08 haha! I never touched a military issue M4 until early 2009

  • Cool review, good camera work and you were very well spoken.I was trained on the M1911A1 in MCRD Parris Island between 11/88 thru 2/89,so I find it funny when media articles say that the military adopted the M9 in 1985. I got out in 1993 and never fired the M9 til I got out.

  • @mrtlsimon Yeah, well "adopted" is a lose term, especially with the military. The military has adopted lots of things that I have never seen haha. Thanks for checking out the video Marine, glad you liked it.

And... I was 4 days old at the start of 11/88 :) Hope that didnt make you feel aged or anything haha

  • I had the same question regarding the hollow point restriction. Your answer is new information for me. The jamming info is also news. Keep teaching!

  • Nice 1st gun review..I own the 92fs also...for some reason i shoot my glock 21 better than the 92fs..i would think shooting 9mm compared to .45acp would be the opposite but i am more accurate with my .45 for some reason..could be me or the guns..i have no idea...thanks for the vid and the invite...T

  • I'm jealous of your metal trigger and guide rod. I have a recente civilian 92FS which has polymer ones. I don't mind the guide rod so much, but the trigger feels like it flexes ever so slightly. How are the sights on the military issue? Did it come with night sights?

  • @ssdwellah No night sights, just the standard irons. Non adjustable ones at that.

  • I don't want to be nosy about your specific MOS, but I noticed that you are using hollow points and your screen name is USMC. I was under the impression that US Military forces didn't use expanding ammunition because of the Hague Convention. Could you explain why it is that you're using JHP? Thanks.

  • @ssdwellah USMC working with State Department. Correct, U.S. MIL can not use hallow point but State can :)

I was waiting for that question, good observation brother.

  • @usmcboyer I just joined this channel so I was not very familiar with your background. Thanks for filling me in.

  • So if you pull the trigger and the round fails to go off, can you pull the trigger again to utilize the 80% chance that a faulty round will go off if the primer is struck twice?

  • @zhartford2 Tap Rack Bang. No point in wasting time to find out, brother. Immediate action calls to hit the magazine from the bottom, rack the slide to remove the malfunction, and attempt to fire. I have never heard of anyone even attempting to fire a round twice. Many people will not even put a round that fell in the dirt in their weapon let alone a round that is already known to be faulty.

Basically I do not know if that is even possible. I would never try it, nor suggest you do either.

  • @zhartford2 If it was Glock that could get you killed since the slide has to be racked to reset the striker. You would be sitting there pulling the trigger w/o even a click! A lot of people mistake the Glock as DAO, but strictly speaking it's SA striker fired. A M92/P226/most USPs will always raise/drop the hammer no matter what (w/ safeties off). Now THAT's truly DA. Sorry for the tangent, but that's another reason to always tap-rack-bang so you don't get confused under the stress.
