Always remember guys...without Half-Life there propably wouldnt be Counter-Strike, Team Fortress, or Portal...all of those games exists more or less thanks to Half-Life..not that any of them is more imporant to me than Half-Life itself, but not too many games have managed to do what Half-Life has done...Warcraft III gave us DOTA and all it's copies (League of Legends,Heroes of Newerth, Demigod), but those are just more or less the same, Half-Life created like 3 different game series.

Busisness wise, not making a 3rd Half-Life would be a terrible mistake, they would lose fans and lose all of the money they put into making the game thus far.
