And i'm thinking of buying nintendo wii and fit.

But... on a small tube tv ?

I think it's good that it just shows on screen how much you've lost, and doing this for a while each day, while not a tough workout, will improve your balance, breathing, and general attitude to fitness, while losing some weight. I'd say its worth getting, but obviously isn't going to or meant to replace a gym workout.

The BMI doesn't know the difference between Fat and Muscle so if it tells you you're obese you may actually just be really muscular.

Yes, it might be a pathetic excuse for exercise but if it gets those overweight kids/parents, who don't want to go outside and exercise, to move a little, then it has done its job. Sure you can lose 50x as much and gain tons of muscle in the same amount of time but then again you probably work out/train on a regular basis. So, for a professional athlete, no, it won't do much but for those who are just starting, at least it gives them a place to begin.

actually if you do exercises regualy, you can lose 3-5 pounds in 2 weeks, which is pretty good. you dont want to lose to much weight in little time.

If you are interested int he Wii Fit I suggest checking out "the great experiment-Wii Fit" this guy did to get in shape for his wedding, he really stuck to it and worked hard and lost over 10 pounds in 7 weeks with no extra diet or exercise
