Lol, this is probably the last time those subway cars saw the light of day. If any future Red/Purple Line extensions are approved, they really should consider surface tracks wherever possible for three reasons: 1) costs, 2) ability to enjoy a sunny day, and 3) showing people how much time they're wasting in traffic.
Ya, ea90744 pointed that out 9 months ago :-p. I've also changed my stance on subway extensions after exploring the westside for myself; I can't see any surface heavy rail along Wilshire...ain't gonna happen.
yea, now they look alot more dull and have all the water stains from the water that drips down the cars. i wish they would at least give the cars a decent wash every now and then

Exact subway car used in the film 'Speed'. The Breda A650. Built between 1988-1993. 75 ft. long, 10 ft. wide. AC propulsion system, top speed 75 mph.
