i already disposed the GILA and i'm also planning to dispose the XCR. Invest on mid or high end forks. one suggestion, go for Suntour Epicon..great buy! ^^
This shock has preload adjustment knobs (no lockout) which make no noticeable difference when moved from max to min and viceversa. It's basically a stiff suspension; a good one by the way.
ive got these on my gt xc2 and theyre stiff mo fos and i jump my bike they only go about half down (at most) with the preload set to extra low how do i make em more loose?
Hey i was wondering about how heavy of a person would this fork be able to handle? I am 6'4" and 225 lbs. Do you think the adjustments on the shocks will be able to compensate for that much weight? thanks
i think not, sir. i only 150lbs but i feel like the fork is too soft for me.. maybe you should consider buying a top-end fork like marzocchi or fox or rockshox or manitou..=)
wait...that is SO NOT GOOD!...you need to set the preload like a mother fucker if your not riding and just pushing on the fork it shouldn't be bottoming out somethins wrongggggggggg trust me i've been riding for over 10 years(downhill/regular trails at parks and stuff)
can u help ne i have no idea how to change the rebound on it.... and those pluses and minuses at the top of the fork what are they for?

okay... i would consider a high end fork but thats the one that comes on my bike im getting
AlmostAkill 2 years ago
The fork is naturally soft. I weigh at 255 lbs and for me the fork handles it sufficiently.
Just that its alittle heavy and easily forgos small bumps but other than that it does it's job properly.

my friend has suntour xcrs and because there so plush when i put all my pressure on the froks they almost go all the way through the travel amazing !
DjDazzyBoy 3 years ago
thats not good... they should be stiffer than that, crank up that preload and set to correct sag
