  • Cyrillic's not dead!

  • In Serbia both Cyrilic and Latin alphabets are used...even today.

  • I know, but one would think a punk band would be against using the Cyrylic alphabet because of the Russian influence.

  • You should bare in mind that cyrillic alphabet is in the Serbian tradition dating from 12th century, not the Russian communist influence.

  • Interesting, seems like I need to read more about the history of your country. When was the LAtin alphabet introduced?

  • Around 1918 during the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, but officially around 1946 during SFR Yugoslavia.

Croats, Slovenes and Bosnians have been using Latin as their traditional, while Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, have been using Cyrillic.

  • 12th?!

    Fuck, no!

At IX century Cyrill and Method created cyrillic alpabeth, and Serbs started to use it couple decades later- in early 900's, most probbably...

  • it's ok man i heard that opinion of western ppl is that the cyrillic alph is imposed by russians... so I'll give you some basic informations...that's wrong 'cuz this alph is created by monks kliment and naum who were creating it in the region of serbia and bulgaria (i think it was creted in bulgaria but then it spread on bulgaria and serbia at same time)...it supposed to be a substitution for the first slavenic letter "glagoljica" (but they say that glagoljica was perfect phonetic letter)

  • @KoivuTheHab Cyrillic and Latin alphabets were equal in ex-yu

  • @KoivuTheHab lol u don't have a clue ... learn some history ...

  • @KoivuTheHab Well, cyrillic is an official serbian alphabet, even though latin alphabet is used more often(unfortunately) ... I guess those were the times where serbs were proud of cyrillics (just as sidgenocid said: Cyrillics not dead! X) )... either that or they just didn't give a damn XP

  • @KoivuTheHab wtf??

  • @KoivuTheHab I love coments from people how have no idea about exyu, but still they make coments like they understand it all. :)

  • @KoivuTheHab we love cyrillik alphabet, dont know wats wrong with you
