Would it have been as effective with the sightless? The test assumed the viability of visual cues. An infant ,as blank a slate as could be,alternately feels secure or threatened by the loving gaze or menacing glare .Without that language that leaves olfactory, tactile auditory -excluding deafness Would someone breakdown through sensory deprivation or solitary confinement? Heard of a technique referred to as "psychic charging"? .Chilling to find out the Russians & Nazis ,MI6 were experts. .
this film is quite good..i thoughrouly enjoyed it..but this scene isn't the best..perhaps 2nd or 3rd..the best scene is the opening scene of the film at the top of the Space Needle in Seattle,Washington..the guy who gets shot!...now that is the most electrifying scene from the film.
but they always eventually get caught and that's awsome...i love it when they're kicking the shit out of them...lol!...crime doesn't pay and never will.
Not sometimes, but most of the time, the bad guys do win.
Thats why we have the first and second ammendments. Small chance an individual has against the Parallax Corporations of the world, but en masse, an armed and informed populace can stop them.
In "Three Days of the Condor", the protaganist's low-profile, but swift and brazen spurts of action enable him to prevail. 70's paranoia thrillers are the best!!
Turn off FOX, read, read, read and get in all the weapons-training you can. Find a range which rents full-autos for on-site practice. I recommend H&K products, esp. 91, P7 and USP.45 HK's "Operators manual- MP5 submachine gun" has an excellent tutorial on how to control the muzzle and deal with tactical reloads and jams for any gun. Prolly avail as pdf on net. Learn all you can about counter-surveillance,tactl and strtgc persl def. Fun, anyway. God help you if you must actually use it!
These 70's flicks and Forsyth's novels often come close to revealing actual "spy" technique, if you keep a close eye for detail and are extremely critical. Even though dated, some technique has remained viable.
I personally believe we are witnessing a total re-hash of the 70's in oil, war and money. So when I reccomend beefing up your "capabilities", I am afraid I am not speaking idly. Just the idea that many people have prepared themselves may stave off a tyranical police state. May at least give the bastards pause!
Guns are'nt the only way to fight the NWO. Gandi kicked out the British by getting people to do nothing. I will not pay my taxes. Pretty soon other people will find that's a good way to save money. That ought to take the wind out of their sales if we simply won't support them.
Very good advice. Nobody, except crazy people really wants a revolution. Look how terribly it went for the French. Guns are good for deterence. Tax-resistance has its limits also. They can always inflate the currency supply via the FED or Bank of England or ECB. Buy gold. Do every non-violent political thing possible to help bring down central banks. Again, I am for guns, but only for deterence; nobody wants violence. I am not saying that with a sly wink; I am for preparedness only.
I love 70s paranoia thrillers as well, even if I didn't understand anything of what they meant when I was a kid :-) "The Parallax View" was particularly twisted for me.
I love this sequence. Captivating...

I always wondered what was up with the man chasing after the nude kid in the apartment stairwell. Did the man catch the boy porking his daughter?

I remember being totally engrossed in this part of the film when I first saw it. I expect I would have fitted the profile.
