The Tilt came at the same time as the first iphone (2g). The iphone 3Gs still doesn't have all the features the tilt has. Replaceable battery (mine lasts 1.5 days, but nice when I forget to charge it overnight), swappable memory (16g in mine now. Full? I can swap in another one.) slide-out keyboard (software keyboards always suck.) touch screen. MP3/video player, Sky-fire free webrowser for full page sites (not ie!) and tons of apps.

ill agree that the tilt is much more malleable and versatile, but the learning curve is crazy. also htc screwed us over by not providing video drivers, so currently the tilt runs at a fraction of its performance capabilities. if cost wasnt an issue id probally get iphone to be honest

I think you make it too hard for yourself. Tilt is more like a Windows computer when iPhone is more like Mac computer. So then you can start to compare Microsoft and Apple...
If you need something for professional use, or you like to heavily customize whatever you get your hands on, get the Tilt. Also consider you can internationally travel with the tilt after AT&T gives you an unlock code.
If you like really pretty, sleek, have an extra phone to travel internationally with and you want ease of use; the iPhone is for you.

yeah. true story. i was sitting next to this guy with an iphone. An i guess he was trying to see how cool he was or show off. I was at the dentist office so i'm just looking at the wall because i only have ten minutes of wait time. Yea the tilt is great and all but it is used for more of a work environment and the iphone is too (sorta) but the iphone is used more for multimedia...it can hold up to 16 gb of movies tv shows and music....and i think it just has a better user interface than tilt...i saw a draw between both.
the tilt can hold a micro SD card of up to 32 GB of memory. twice as much as the iphone. so it can handle all the multimedia that the Iphone can, and you can change the interface in any way that you want to, including using the Iphone interface. so basically the tilt can be a better iphone or I should say is a better iphone

well I personally dont like iTunes,and Windows media player/active sync works fine for getting any type of file on my phone. My tilt does have a full web browser. as a matter of fact I have 2, internet explorer and opera. I could respond on my phone, but i happen to be at my pc right now. I've seen 30gb cards, im sure 2 more gb wouldn't be too hard. we have 2 biased opinions, since we each have the opposing phone, but I have to give the edge to the tilt. I chose it over the iphone for a reason
