@CountryAngel100 They probably felt that the stage's situation with fighting the battle sub wouldn't have suited very well so they chose a more dramatic sound and probably decided to remix Bubble Crab's stage for some reason. If this stage was made to be more calm and deep, then this would have been a perfect fit.

I'm guessing this wasn't used because they probably felt that it was unfitting to the level's situation. They probably wanted something slightly more intensifying since your trying to destroy a battle ship.

This version should have been used instead, with the X2 remix as a hidden theme... like what they did for Shade Man in MM7.

There's just something about this song that makes it perfect for the stage, perhaps because it sounds so different than the other high speed tracks.

The entire Duff stage was a tribute to Bubble Crab. Plus there are many remixes of old tracks in X5 because X5 was supposed to be the last X game, so they wanted it to go out with a bang.

1. Both stages have a giant ship that has to be destroyed.

2. Both drain water around you when you enter a sunken ship.

3. Both boss fights have spikes on one side of the screen.

4. You use sharp weapons to kill both of them. Spike Wheel and C-shot.

This is a nice song.....okay it's great. Bubble Crab remix however was better of course that's my opinion. All my friends agree that Capcom made the right choice remixing Bubble Crab. This has 5,000 views opposed to 11,000 from BC Rmx. But I digress. This music is soothing and oceanic which you mentioned but Bubble Crabs kicks ass. Great Upload!

wow I never knew they had actually made a real theme song for this guy. It always annoyed me that they started recycling songs in the X series, but X6 was REALLY bad when it came to lack of originality.

I do wish this had stayed the final game like it was supposed to, they really went all out making it as epic as they pssibly could.

Hell yeah for sure! Another point of interest I want to point out was that Mega Man X5 was meant to be THE FINAL GAME. If it weren't for Keiji Inafune moving to Inticreates, it would have stayed THE FINAL GAME. Mega Man Zero would've been on the PlayStation 2 and Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Star Force would've been on the Game Boy Advance.

I thought that the remix of Bubble Crab's theme was great, but Capcom really should have used this theme in Duff McWhalen's stage and save the remix for a remake of X2 (if they ever produce a remake, that is.) When I hear a song in a certain Maverick's stage, I always think of it as his theme, so hearing Crab's theme in McWhalen's stage makes me think of Crab, not McWhalen, which is a shame IMO.
