I'm pretty sure that the unreleased game Radical Dreamers is the official sequel to Chrono Trigger. It just never made it over to US shores. Not sure why. That was a big mistake. But it was more like a storybook game than an RPG, but still.
Chrono Cross was made in 1997, Chrono trigger was made in 1995 Radical Dreamers was made in 1996 CT is 15 years old CC is 13 Years old and RD is 14 Years old
Well 10 year olds wont understand but Chrono cross is the official sequel to CT.just not called chrono trigger 2 cos it doesnt take place in the same time or dimension of The crono we know.But since CC takes place between parallel worlds.
Crono disrupted the dimensions wen he destroyed lavos in the future.though he saved his own present from destruction.it ended up creating diffrent parallel universes.If you play CC properly u will understand everything.Dont play it for the sake of ending it.

I used to think the same but it's more of a successor that lays its foundation & themes loosely on Chrono Trigger. As a kid, I enjoyed CC but was rather dissapointed as it pales in comparison to CT. It was pretty fun, but overall rather forgettable & had nothing on the classic original.
Chrono cross is weird. Square enix should make Chrono trigger 2 where prince chrono must change yet another disturbance in the flow of time. And yes chrono is a prince because SPOILER ALERT!: he marries marle and they live happilly ever after. But i keep wondering: What does he do in his said of happy times?
hehe yeah I thought it'd be easier if I put subs on the bottom :3 and yes Ayla pwns all >> seriously she does if you get her to level 99 she can beat lavos with one hit :D
