At 3:53 - 4:10 Bette's philosophy about Work and Personal relationships is true. She and Judy Garland who also was married many times found out that their work was the only constant in their lives. Judy always wanted to be happily Married & Like Davis, was always the breadwinner & the more famous of the spouses they married. Judy knew that she needed tobe loved & her audiences LOVED her. Aslo Judy & Bette by the late 40's were the only 2 female stars to carry a film just on their names alone.
