  • this is a good video!

  • Miss you Christine! Love you!

  • Miss Christine so much... miss her... miss her... FM will never be the band it always was without her...

  • Without Christine McVie Fleetwood Mac is not the same. It is missing that important voice, which set them apart from all others. I miss you Christine.

  • Hard to believe this was 15 years ago now....

  • I love them so much!

  • She sings so pretty

  • John has SUCH a great and fat sound! He really is great! He gives them that full-bodied backbone!

  • God, I LOVE this version of her song! Amazing!

  • ..so this was written by her for dennis.... is this the one ?

  • @lackocult1

No, It's "Hold Me" off of the Mirage album.

  • fantastic Banjo pickin' !!! love them so much!!!!!!

  • Christine= ONE GORGEOUS,BEAUTIFUL LADY!!

  • I guess now we can only dream but wouldn't it be amazing if Christine came back to make one last great album with Fleetwood Mac

  • Comment removed

  • awesome and christine is still a fox

  • the banjo made my day

  • The best version of this song, ever!!!!! Lindsey is such a supreme artist.

  • I love Ms McVie.

The whole band is great, and you can never discount Ms Nicks contributions, or any of them, but I always loved Christine.

  • Yea, Christine Mcvie is/was precious. To me, she is the voice of Fleetwood Mac. Yes, Stevie is awesome, and I give her all of the credit in the world, but for my money, I wanna hear Christine. John Mcvie has been overlooked as one of the finer bassists. His baselines were always the blood of this band.

  • @1bls I totally agree. It is my view that John McVie was the backbone of this band through the years even though the others are all amazing artists.

  • @TheGaurDude yea man exatcly, they are ALL great, but John's bass is just the life's blood of the band. But picking one and saying they are the band is impossible, like picking which of your kids is your favorite.

  • @TheGaurDude Man, talk about his baselines, check out this same concert, the song "over my head". you have probably already heard it, but if not, TURN IT UP LOUD lol.

  • Christine is the soul of FM to me, love her, She's just so good.

  • they haven't got enough views to describe their awesomeness!

  • Good gracious, Christie can sing!!! I love her "Sweet Little Lies" too!!

  • FLEETWOOD MAC THE GREATEST BAN D THAT WAS EVER FORMED.?

  • CHRISTINE IS REALLY PERFECT.?

  • Mick Fleetwood always has a smile on his face. I guess I would also if I was in a band that has produced great music for what 4 or 5 decades now. Special thanks to Chrstine McVie for all of her years in FM, she is definitely a great singer. John Mcvie is a bad ass bassist who rarely gets any credit.

  • @1bls

Amen! He and Mick give them a great, full-bodied sound!

  • @cubswin3838 I couldn't agree more. Full bodied is the very best way to describe them. I keep coming back to this version of this song.

  • @1bls Bad Ass bass player is almost an understatement. He is really very under rated as a bassist.

  • Love this version, you can really hear the great bass line that John is playing, it pops right out. Also Christine was looking super hot here.......Mr Peabody set the wayback machine in motion to 1997

  • They were a team not just one. Not the same. Stevie is good but give Christine her credit also

love her. Got to have Lindsay great on guitar the best.

  • Nice!! .....when Stevie takes the lead vocals to this tune all I can say is OUCH!!

  • 'Agree Christie is great :)

  • Christie Mc Vie.....grande performance.....

  • I wish i could have gone to that concert.... but since i was one at the time i don't think it was really possible...

  • Fleetwood mac= Mike,Lindsay,Christie and John!!!! The best !!!!!!

  • Oooo la la la, oooo la la la...

  • Honestly this is the best version of Say You Love Me I love the banjo intro and it's more upbeat then when they did it in the 70's and how they do it now that Christine isn't in the band anymore

  • @banglefan1982 I agree, this is the best version. I think the banjo is great. Christine IS the BEST of Fleetwood Mac......

  • She's the best singer in this group.

  • @LollyJK1 they're all different so it's more of a personal choice to say who's "best". For me it's Lindsey...just listen to that "yeah" at 3:22!

    Cheers

  • @LollyJK1 Stevie is the Best and she always will be

  • I remember when I was like 12 11 years old (I'm 20 now) my dad got this DVD and you know I knew some old songs that my parents use to listen but I just never really cared enough to just sit down and actually listen to them. My dad put the DVD and I started to watch. After the first song I was just hooked they were an amazing band. They just have it all. I like Christie because her voice is so rare and beautiful at the same I have never heard a voice like hers

  • Christine aged much better than Stevie...but it doesn't help that Stevie is wearing the same dress she was 30 years ago...xP

  • @Lcander101 You are 1000% wrong,Stevie is the most Beautiful and Talented Woman in the universe!

  • Christine McVie... What a GILF

  • She must come back to the Mac, even if it's only for a couple of songs on a new album or a handful of tour dates. Christine, we're dying for more of you.

  • Christine looks amazing!

  • John McVie on vvvvvocalllllls first time ever!!! All Mac fans miss you Christine come back one last time!!

  • This version beats the hell outta the studio one

  • Christine is hot. And, I'm a girl...pure CLASS. :)

  • Five people so talented..................stunning performance

  • This tune sounds different with The Banjo included. Mr. Buckingham picked his guitar like a banjo, you know. Very good!

  • how beautiful are you!...

  • I just love music. But Christie singing this is got to be the best !!!!

  • I love ths song so so much I grew up listening to it as a child and I still sing every lyric and will for life!!!!

  • I LOVE this version! You can hear her English accent! Awesome! Natural!

  • What a babe !

  • I love you Christine!

  • that's a pretty sexy 54 year old on lead vocals.

  • @MikeMcQuagge Chrstine McVie!!!!!!!

  • I have always loved FM but only recently have I learned how much Christy was responsible for their success. She Truly is a SONGBIRD! Not to take away from the others but, I just can't get enough of her. She is a fine wine.

  • this concert clip turn animal inside me , is so much diferent than album version . for first time you can see Mick as front man .Chritine ROCKS BIG WAY ! with this concert clip my life begins , as same like 30 years ago with the Rumors.

  • @8i9ou Yes Christine does rock in a big way. That woman can write and sing a song like nobody else. She was also my 1st make believe girlfriend in 1977 when I was 13. She still is, I don't care how old she is.

  • come back Christine

  • Miss Christie McVie. I wish She would come back to Fleetwood Mac. They are still great it's just they were better with her.

  • John is so under appreciated, it makes me sad. Fleetwood mac has some of rocks greatest bass lines, and it's always been John behind them. The man is a genius. Plus, he's hilarious haha

  • not bad for a bunch of 50 yr olds at the time. Christie is the oldest, thats why she retired after this tour.

  • The 1st 45 record I ever bought. I was 13 and it cost 1 dollar. I still have it 34 years later and still think Christine is the best looking and the best singer of the group.

  • That banjo makes this the best version I've ever heard. And I always thought Christine was the best looking.

  • Beautiful song and women, off course !

  • Sounds like s--t kickin' country! NOT!

  • Without a single-solitary doubt, one of the greatest songs ever written, recorded and sung! Fleetwood Mac just will never be the same without Christine! Come back girl! Forever you will be missed!

  • Simply the best

  • CHRISTIE...PLEASE COME BACK!

  • @imjimbo57 "don't even ask" - her words.

  • @imjimbo57 YEP, not the same without Christine....

  • @imjimbo57 wot she has comeback lol

  • CHRISTIE MC VIE...OH SO TALENTED!

  • She is the best thing that ever happened to the Mac. Sexy too.

  • My favorite

  • Christine was especially missed by Stevie Nick that it took more than a decade for her to finally accept that she'd would never return. All her other bandmates wanted her back, but they honorred her decision. I think Lindsey related best to her departure because he did the same thing under similar circumstances.

  • @TheWd3829 I did see an interview with Stevie Nicks and you are right she does miss her so much.. She said that Christine is a sister to her!!

  • @mjsalzman Thanks A LOT.

  • mics loving those drums!

  • All cool thing always come back together. Guns 'n Roses'll be next.

  • If you go back and see how many hits they had with Christine singing

  • On the other hand, I LOVE what they did to this song.

  • It looks like Stevie Nicks is holding toilet paper.

  • The song is played way too fast!

  • Please come back for one more tour with Fleetwood Mac, Christine. We LOVE you. It's just not the same without you. There is brilliant musicianship yet to be made!

  • I don:t like what they did to this song..

  • Oh I LVOE Christine McVie's voice.

For me, Christine's voice is the audible equivalent of good creamy peanut butter spread thickly on some really good crusty rustic wheat bread. A voice that is Comfort Food for my soul.

Oh yeah, Lindsey totally jamms here !

  • What a fine pianoplay in the background.

  • christines carrer got sidetracked when she got hooked on mud fighting. shw was champ of England for a few yrs

  • True Perfection!!

  • this whole band is unbelievable. you gotta love them all. each so distinct. i found if you closed your eyes and listened, you could hear the bass that john is playing quite clearly, and it sounds so cool. makes your whole body move to it!

  • christine has c;lass. why is the jackass guitar player paying a banjo instead? it doesnt add to song, it only detracts. he sickens me.

  • @pbrick6301 you are a dumbass

  • @pbrick6301 had you not heard this version before?

  • @pbrick6301 Sorry, but I have to disagree! I think it's a great variation on the original!

  • Christine McVie is incredible!!!

  • I'm sorry (actually, no I'm not), but Lindsey is hands down one of the best guitarists that there has ever been. Vocals? Christie and Stevie (only 1 of 2 Stevie's to be legends) are voices that you will never forget (i.e. legends as there ever was).

  • FM sound and harmony is not the same without Christine McVie! Each of the song writers and singers in that group are very special, including the bass and drums. There is no doubt they are all legendary.. They all are fantastic in their own special talent and creativity. FM Rocks!

  • Did Mick ever date Stevie or Christine?

  • Comment removed

  • @danjoe128 i dont know if you would call it dating but stevie nicks and the drummer went "behind close doors"

  • @danjoe128 He dated Stevie for awhile, late 70s and early 80s. Stevie had previously broken up with Lindsey, and Christne was married to (and divorced from) John McVie. It's a whole story.

  • @Toniehoek

    Oh okay

  • I like Cristine better than Stevie, but nobody can beat 'Silver Springs' i will give Stevie that.

  • Their harmonies are so amazing.

  • christine mcvie is the backbone, she has an incredibly sexy voice. so much better than stevie nicks

  • @nkentable Really? Let's compare their solo careers shall we? ..... ahhh why waste my time I know you're delusional.....

  • Absolutely adore her...

    Thanks for the upload Cro

  • Christine without her keys looks about as comfortable as Karen Carpenter without her drums in this video.

  • Rocky Radio........... Go Christine Mcvie Go !!!

  • She reminds me of Dusty Springfield

  • forget women these days i want this hott mama, lay her voice on me. yeh christie over stevie, stevie is cool but something genuine about christie.

  • she is so hot i'd love she should of went and started a band on her own she has great song out there

  • gorgeous

  • best version of this song period.

  • @ikill4klondikebars It goes to show you that you don't need a tremendous array of instruments when you have talent behind it. Here you have a bass, a banjo, a very small drum kit and a few tambourines, and yet you have a rich full sound. Paolo Nutini did something similar with New Shoes.

  • @ikill4klondikebars

I think I am in love with Cristine McVie This is awesome!

  • @JeffreyMW1 I've been in love with her for 34 years, since I was 13. She's the sexiest woman I 've ever seen or heard.

  • just think, half these song are written about the 'happenings' between the band members. So just imagine what fleetwood mac would be without these 'happenings' makes me wonder. this band rules

  • love it !

  • I love that John steps to the front in this song!

  • @RogueTrader101 You mean Mick!

  • @NESherv No I mean John. He usually stands at the back, now he's singing backup! :)

  • One of the greatest rock bands ever! And although I have a tremendous respect for Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie is my favorite of the two females in this band. Just something so real and humble about her style. Love this version of this classic Fleetwood Mac song. The Dance is one of their greatest albums ever! =)

  • @deeway1963 Agreed, While I do like Stevie Nicks as well, there is just something about the songs that Christine McVie sings. I usually preferred her over Stevie. This song and You Make Loving Fun are my two favorite Mac songs. This was one of the best 'comeback' concerts I have seen on cable. I also have "The Dance" album as well. It was a great show by a great band. The great thing about Fleetwood Mac is that their songs are timeless and will be enjoyed by many for many years to come.

  • @jukingeo Great minds, think alike. I completely agree with you. Peace, Dee =)

  • No lipsyich, no back track, just people singing and playing their instruments live.

And with so much talent !

  • Isn't Chrissie just 'Perfect'!!!

  • Amen to that. You hear all about Stevie but Christine was a beautiful woman

  • Christine introduced this saying that it has John singing. A little generous, as he can't really be heard at all.

  • Comment removed

  • it's a shame that there aren't more artists like Fleetwood Mac.

  • Those gals are so pretty.

  • i love fleetwood mac. The Dance has to be my favorite album of theirs. They get better and better as time goes on. What an amazing band! Amazing music, i just love it !!

  • im so confused.. when i listened to the dance i thought the person who sang this song i thought it was a dude... someone help me with that....

  • @IMWEARINFEET - Christine McVie is the lead singer on this track. Her voice maybe husky but there's no mistaking it's a woman. Lindsey Buckingham does harmony and backups (along with Stevie Nicks) and for this performance, John McVie does the bassline voice......

  • @woohooboy Husky?!?! No... her voice can be described as smoky... she doesn't sound husky at all.

  • @ambrandt420 - I'm just using the word husky because that was the way John McVie described Christine's singing voice in a documentary (which is called "Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac 2009 BBC). Smoky is certainly a great word to describe her vocal range.......

  • @woohooboy Oh, okay... fair enough, then. Haven't seen that one.

  • @ambrandt420 - It's on YouTube last time I checked. It's a really interesting documentary that looks at the band's long history and how they achieve the success that they did. Well worth viewing.......

  • @woohooboy @ambrandt420 "Smoky" would more closely describe the quality of her voice. She definitely has great range (as is evidenced by her frequently singing high harmonies) but often when she sang lead, her tone was definitely darker. Her lower voice is actually kind of similar to to Robin Zander, lead singer of Cheap Trick.

  • @daveedo10 - Very good description of Christine's voice. Because the Mac had three distinctive leads, they could also blend with each other very well on a vocal level. Lindsey had (back in those days) a higher range and an edge of angst in his voice, Stevie of course had a wonderful raspy quality and Christine was the middle ground between the two......

  • @woohooboy The three of them really were a wonderful combination with the contrast of tone. And the harmonies were just beautifully blended. It's truly great music.

  • So absolutely beautiful.

  • you dont often see John singing - I LOVE THIS !!!

  • @pilsnergirl17 Is that him singing the lowest part?

  • @elirosen1391 I believe so... it's almost like he is humming along with the bass - I have the CD and Christine introduces the song and says it is the first time for him to sing with them... I'll have to dig it out and listen to it again to see exactly what she says...

  • @pilsnergirl17 I think it was John himself who said it. I downloaded the song off of i-tunes. It's hard to figure out who sings what since there's about seven vocalists on that song.

  • Christine McVie is the best. She was classically trained and it showed in every performance she did. Although she's retired from the group, she remains Fleetwood Mac's most prolific writer of hit singles. She never received the recognition she deserves, but we can still appreciate haveing her hugh collection of recordings. Fleetwood Mac lost more than they realized with her retirement, and so did we.

  • @cunard61 I agree with everything you have written about Christine, but don't discount the songs Stevie Nicks wrote. I think Stevie wrote more hit singles than Christine did.
