90%+ of violent crime is commited by males doesn't mean 90% of males commit violent crime, especially not towards women. The minority of this is by sick men who are the worst kind of bully, taking out their anger on those who dont stand a chance.

Acting chivalrous is not seen as good enough as it comes with the baggage of male chauvenism, which is another masculinity problem. The anger itself, (even if disipated harmlessly in video games or movies) is seen as a threat.

I dont think he is trying to imply that those things are at fault only trying to imply that this culture makes violence a masculine trait sometimes in a glorifying manner and in the few already disturbed individuals who hate women this adds fuel to the fire. That's how i see it but i cant speak for anyone.

So as we dial it down, women are steadily dialing it up!
