i love this vid...i was a lineman for about 5 years when immaturity on my own part took me away from it...decided i could do something else and be happy..big mistake... im working hard now to get back into line work...thanks for sharing this
Thanks Warner, I started in our line dept 1971, Now i'm a trainer. They say a man who loves his job never works a day in his life. I've had a good life, you've reminded me.
Free inexhaustible energy is real! But the Big corporations spend millions to ensure that information does not spread to the masses,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Start the energy revolution!
I praise those who do that job. In that video it looks like it's probably nice out. But it really must suck working on lines when it's pouring rain, or when it's 30 below, or even when it's like +30 out that can't be fun either. I work for the phone company, and the phone line men are quite busy during storms, fixing up phone lines and such meanwhile customers are yelling. They have no idea the work that goes on in the background.
My bro has been a lineman for over 30 yrs and I am proud of his status and what he has done for people without power; he does it for them and not money. He could have rolled up years ago but stayed a foreman barely making 35. hr. because he rather stay in field n keep linemen safe. In his honor linepowermendotcom for men who want to be or are linemen. No one has EVER been hurt on his watch.

@jlineman2008 So what you're saying is if have a choice between a bucket and climbing you'd rather climb? You must be young and dumb.I'll take the buket anyday.I don't want to risk losing my life to prove I'm a "man".
@1pollo1rabbit i agree with you, i am a young lineman and i have already learned the lesson that if you can get it with a bucket fuck the hooks. but even after my fall i still work in my hooks when i need to
@jlineman2008 Bucket babies is what we call them. Everyone knows the hard work is done by the tree workers to make it easy for the lineman. Are they goona clear the downed trees in the f@#$^^% weather. Hell no. And then you have to be thier groundman afterwards for half the pay...... Just poking fun at you guys. You do a hard job and its appreciated.
I grew up outside of Detroit in Warren. Local 17 members have a tough time with all the bad weather there. I've moved to California but have worked alongside many linemen on some of the nuclear plants in Washington during the 70's. You men have a tough job but I'm glad you're on the job keeping us supplied with power.
I've done a little bit of time out with the linesmen- Top guys, all very good at what they do. Cable joining gets pretty crazy when the voltage levels start getting up there- XLPE is nuts!
That said, not the work for me! I'm quite happy doing the servicing and repairs on their instruments!
my dad is a foreman... ive been on jobs with him... even fires! (fires: he disconnects power from house so firemen can continue job) ive also been on a job with him when he was helping with new High voltage lines(cross country as i call them)
Public Utility Workers of America Local 116. It took me 2 years to get in, I love the job it is well worth it. Especially when you work a long strom and you have people thank you for getting the lights on. Makes you feel real good. Lineman for life. Be safe out there.
My dad is a linman for Detroit Edison, he makes just over 35 an hour. Where they make big bucks is the overtime. If you ever become a lineman, don't expect to have much if any life outside of work. A regular 40 hour a week job gives you about 2,000 hours of work a year, and my dad almost always puts in close to 4,000 hours. I think he said just under 3,700 hours last year. My dad has literally did nothing but work for 35 years except a few hunting trips.

Was a lineman moving conductor on bucket
Instead of using live line jib
That's a no-no

Free Energy is real and its here but the coverup is strong, if u are interested in a REAL free energy machine then
just go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and download the blueprints ,it is probably the ONLY working magnet
motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!
