Wouldn't Ubuntu Netbook Remix also fix the sizing...? since it is made for netbooks and small displays...

Alt dragging has always worked under Compiz by default. What's wrong with your setup? =]

Alt dragging works, but you can't drag a window above the top of the screen. Which... stinks on small screens. :)
