If it is one of the most preventable cancers, lets just stick to telling people to get thier regular pap smears rather then subject themselves to a potentialy harmful vaccine? I mean anual pap smear are considered to be 90% effective and the shots are at the very best 70% effective. Not to mention all the side effects that have been reported. I mean, don't you think that the shot might give girls and young women the flse hope and then are less like to actually stick to the yearly exams?
As a healthcare facility, we feel it is our obligation to educate consumers about options available to them. Prevention is always the best measure and we are not insinuating in anyway that girls and young women should overlook their yearly exams.
But, you are not fully educating everyone on the HPV shot. You mention just like everyone else the possible benifits of the shots but nothing of the possible side effects. My daughter, like several others, developed pancreatitis from the shot and now suffers from small intestinal ulcers. We watched shows like your put out by people that are not represtenative of Merk that gave us one sided information. Now, what we thought was a good idea, has effected us forever!
