Turkeys are meat animals, not companion animals. And they taste delicious. This video makes me look forward to Thanksgiving. Remember, folks, what Uncle Ted said: "Ya can't grill it, 'till ya kill it!"
i would like to ram that broomstick 2 foot down that retards throat , just to see how he likes it. i understand that people eat meat, but why can`t they try and treat the animals a bit better
How would u like them to kill the turkeys??Ask them to kill themselves?I'm sure all of u commenting use no animal products what so ever no do u?Because if u do guess what they had to kill the animal before u ever used it.
Also, on the topic of the beak cutting at the end, this is done to prevent the birds from hurting each other. They have a "pecking order" and will constantly attack one another mercilessly.
These people are obviously undereducated, hate their jobs, and are frustrated. I'm sure if I had to hear "gobble gobble" all day long and smell like shit after work, I would stomp a few of them myself. Yes, it is sadistic behavior. Yes, it is cruel. Yes, it's wrong. I'm not condoning this behavior, just trying to rationalize it from their point of view and explain why they acted this way.
I work on a turkey farm and that is not how we treat animals there. PETA is very unknowledgable when it comes to that. GET A LIFE! EAT BEEF IT'S GOOD FOR YOU!!
I can gladly say i have no problem with this. That is the persons job, throwing them into a cage is faster and more effective than placing them in while they resit, debeaking reduces aggresion and cannibalism, snapping a birds neck kills it...so what? they have to die so we can eat them. The broomstick incident was a individials anger- too far but it's a fucking turkey! not another human being. PETA supporters, please, get a life. humans eat meat the majority of us love it, it's healthy and easy
You think that it's SOO obvious that "it's a fucking turkey" and therefore DOESN'T matter what you do to it. But you'll justify your non-racism towards jews with the same idiotic references. "but that's different, jews are people!" But what's not different about turkeys is their ability to feel pain, and causing pain to them is wrong. How long can humans survive on the planet if everyone eats like you and your fat ass family?
I'm happy to agree with you my father lived on a farm and he told me countless time when he had to snap a turkeys neck, if he messed up, it would flop around a little, so I see no problem there.
Don't let people fool ya man. I bet half of these people order a 21 piece bucket of chicken from KFC and don't think about it then. I got a friend a self preaching animal rights man picked himself up a double whopper with cheese from BK this week. He says "oh poor animals" but yet he's the guy that eats the stuff every day. Many people who defend the animals don't really care, they're just attention whores. Most of the treament is not like this IMO. I've been to slaughter houses, not like this
It doesn't matter if your brother's boss "told him to do that." You have to be sick and or retarded to abuse any innocent animal. These men should be killed in a slow, painful way. I hope that your brother knows that he is a piece of shit and will one day pay for what he has done. You and him make me sick. Burn in hell!
OK this is my brother in this and everyone needs to no, HE WAS TOLD TO DO THIS BY THE BOSS!! He thought This is what he was said he had to do!! FUCK YOU ALL THAT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT MY BROTHER!! He was doing his job!!
Unfortunately, abuse and cruelty such as this (both egregious, and as "standard industry practice") is clearly common practice among big corporate factory farms (perhaps not as much among smaller producers). On YouTube, you can find many, many other investigations from various organizations showing horrific farm animal abuse. Unhealthy, abused, disposable animals still produce, esp. with antibiotics and hormones, and the factory-farm practices that result in abuse save the corporations money.
As a livestock producer, I was appalled by this video. In no way are the actions taken acceptable to the industry or indicative of common production practices. Like me, most producers care about the animals they raise, not only because it's the right thing to do but also because their livelihood depends on it.
well If I were eating a turkey from this place, I'd feel bad, however they almost always just quickly grab the turkeys and snap their neck, a quick death. So if they were fucking shoving a brromstick down a scared turkeys throat, I'd should them in the balls with a shotgun!
This abuse is horrible and the people responsibile for the abuse should be punished. This is not standard practice in the livestock or poultry industry. The majority of livestock & poultry farms today are run by family farmers & ranchers who care about their animals and do not tolerate this treatment. Of the 2% of Americans engaged in Agriculture today, 98% of this 2% are family farmers. Farmers and Ranchers care for their livestock 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Actually, most farms are now owned by just a few huge corporations - they've squeezed most of the small family farms out of business in recent history. And this type of abuse is not uncommon - it's similar to what every undercover investigation at factory farms and slaughterhouses has uncovered.
I politely disagree with you, statistics show that 98% of the farms today are owned and operated by family farmers, not corporations. This abuse is not common and is not found on family farms which use modern facilities to raise their animals.
I'm a hunter and fisherman and have always thought PETA was a joke. I can't watch this, PETA deserves a big pat on the back for exposing this. Also the worker who had the courage to go undercover and hold his emotions back while filming this. I would have seriously hurt those jerks who hurt those turkeys.
But wait...if I go vegetarian, then I support the act of under paying and over working farm workers who are often illegal aliens. And if everyone goes vegetarian, the demand for that will increase...now what do I do?!
Hmm... besides animal cruelty being a separate issue, factory animal farms are notorious for hiring and abusing illegal immigrants. Agriprocessors was recently shut because of this, but it's rampant in other companies (The book "Fast Food Nation" covers this in detail). Also, it takes plants to feed animals, more than if we ate the plants directly (it takes 15 lbs of grain to grow 1 lb of beef). So, being vegan would reduce the amount of plants being grown by illegal immigrants.
