@PsychoNorth Best was an absolute genius and brilliant entertainer but he could have achieved more and should been more responsible; he was already in decline in his mid-late 20s. Bobby Charlton was a different type of great player, with an explosive shot, a consistent and dedicated club servant- and tremendous for England too. Maybe Giggs could have been more dominant in his prime but he's shown great commitment and like Charlton been an honest and selfless performer on the pitch

A lot of young people judge on fancy skills on youtube but may not know how good a team player someone was or how consistent or temperamental. first of all messi is a forward so comparing goals against giggs is pointless. if messi reaches 36 and is still playing for barca in the champions league then thats a different story. if set the all time appearance record for barca then thats difference. if he scores in every single hampions league campaign then thats different. if he wins 33 titles in 18 seasons then thats different. u cant even begin to compare messi to giggs yet, messi goes missing in big games while giggs never did

u can only really judge a player in the generation that he playedd in. eg take pele or maradona either of them in todays modern game wud strggle to b half the players they were against todays fitness & defenders. in pele's time the average distance covered 7km nw players cover 11/12 km. this is the 1st season messi hasn't got injured & has been consistent stop overhyping him and give him chance to develop in2 the gr8 player he shud. right now CR is the most complete footballer in the world

dont think he's quicker than giggs was but his technical dribbling and close dribbling are better. a bit of an exaggeration to say he destroyed utd int he final yes he scored a one on header vs the goal keeper at the end when utd were chasing the game. but watch the game other than that he had little or no impact. mnost pundits agreed that is was xavi and particularly iniesta who did the damage against utd. the goal was messi's 1st in 11 games vs english opposition so yes he goes missing

Yes the way Giggs has been playing this season at almost 36 is pretty incredible; his legs may have slowed but his football brain is faster than ever.
