(1) Apart from anything else, isn't it bad manners? After the break-up of a large organisation like the USSR, (whether it was a good one or not), shouldn't one wait a decent amount of time before approaching the former members? Its the same with pulling Ukraine into NATO. Have some respect for Christ's sake! Is it any wonder Russia's getting jumpy? When talking about changes in countries and civilisations, we shouldn't think in terms of years our tiny lifespan, but in decades & half centuries

I agree with many of Bill's points, but please don't criticize the cancellation of the missile defence site in Poland. I'm not going to go into the whys and wherefores of that discussion, I'm not going to consider the nature of the strategic relationship with Russia, I'm not even going to put forward an argument, I just want to express something and see if anyone else feels it.

I agree with most of the statement about the countries that share america's values, but I don't agree with the inclusion of Israel on that list. Israel has constantly perpetrated violence against its neighbors and worked to maintain a conflict that will keep its leaders in power through the fear of its people...other than that, great video.

It is however true that Israel is much more successful in its military operations that it's enemies, mostly due to the fact that its enemies do not fight for survival but to hurt innocent people.

Partly because wealth redistribution will never work, but don't forget that it was Reagan rampant growth of our military during the Cold War that forced the Soviets to utilize an ever increasing amount of its resources on military growth. This unsustainable growth did contribute in large part to the collapse of the USSR.

Regarding Indonesia: During his November 2010 visit to Indonesia Obama praised the religious tolerance, but forgot to mention that since 1998 700+ churches have been set on fire by muslims in Indonesia. Would Obama have called Indonesia a tolerant nation if 700 mosques had been set on fire by Christians? Of course not.
And besides: according to polls by the Pew Forum in December 2010, thirty percent of all Indonesian muslims favor the death penalty for those who dare to leave islam.
